⛳ The first Laser Golf Day is officially in the clubhouse!

Last Friday, we welcomed customers to Chelmsford Golf Club for our first-ever Laser Golf Day, and we couldn't have asked for a better day for it.

The sun was shining, the competition was healthy (mostly 😄), and it was a great opportunity to spend some time together away from site and the office.

We were joined by teams from Bellway Homes, McCarthy & Stone, Troy Homes, Mount Street Developments, Vistry Group, Redrow and Persimmon Homes, with a few prizes up for grabs throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Golf Day such a success, and to Chelmsford Golf Club for doing a brilliant job of hosting us.

Judging by the day we had, we think this might have to become an annual fixture…

Congratulations to Tiptree Jobserve FC on their Cup Final victory! 🏆👏

After a hard-fought contest against league champions CFC Shalford, the team secured a memorable 1-0 win with an extra-time goal scored directly from the corner.

Despite being reduced to ten men, they dug deep to hold onto to their lead and cap off a fantastic cup run with a well-deserved trophy.

We were delighted to support the team this season (check out the tracksuit tops 🤩) and are proud to see their efforts rewarded. While they might say they're only there for the social side of the game, this result would suggest there's a bit more to it than that!

Well done to everyone involved, and we wish the team every success for the season ahead in both league and cup competitions.

Normally, it’s the parents frantically digging through the dressing-up box the night before… or panic-buying something from Amazon at 10pm.

We’re proud to have worked alongside BEW Electrical Distributors Ltd to deliver a new solar PV and battery storage system at Chelmsford City F.C.

Installed on the clubhouse roof, the system forms part of the club’s wider plan to generate enough renewable energy to offset its annual electricity use and support its Net Zero 2030 goal.

It’s always great to support the Clarets on the pitch, but helping power them sustainably off it is even better 💙⚡

We were proud to be matchday sponsors for Monday night’s game at Chelmsford City Football Club, where the Clarets secured a 1–0 win over Tonbridge Angels.

Our very own Aleksandra Jozwik had the pleasure of presenting the Man of the Match award to Lyle Taylor, following another strong performance and a superb first-half goal 👏

Five years on, and we still miss you, Jim.

Jim Wellard joined Laser in 2016 from Chelmsford Electrical, and those who worked with him for 25+ years will remember the same things: his kindness, his humour, and the way he always showed up for others.

He left an impact that hasn’t faded... In the stories we tell and the memories we hold onto.

Thinking of Jim’s family today, and remembering a much-loved colleague and friend.
