Unfortunately our wish for a warm and wet spring hasn’t come true! While it’s great to see the temperatures finally improving, it looks like it’s going to be another exceptionally dry Spring. Please see guidance below on watering your lawns 💦 🌱
🌱 If your lawn is in good condition: Give it a deep soak every 3 days rather than a little and often. This encourages deeper root growth and helps your lawn stay stronger during dry spells. If it starts to look stressed or dry, increase watering slightly until it recovers.
🌱 If your lawn has been recently overseeded: Moisture is key! The seed must stay consistently damp to germinate. Water at least twice a day in dry weather (morning and evening is ideal). Once you see new shoots, reduce to once daily, then gradually move to every 3 days as it establishes.
🌿 If your lawn has been scarified recently: After scarification, your lawn needs extra care as it recovers:• Keep the soil consistently moist—don’t let it dry out• Water lightly but more frequently at first if needed• If overseeded, follow the overseeding guidance above• As the lawn begins to recover, transition to deeper watering every 3 days
