DAY 1 | SOUTHEND 📍

A new external rendering project underway in Southend.

With the existing painted render remaining sound and well bonded, we’re installing a Baumit thin-coat silicone render system over the existing substrate.

Day 1 progress:

• Full protection to surrounding areas
• Beading installed
• First pass of Baumit MC55 applied

The next stage will be a coat of Baumit StarContact, with reinforcing mesh fully embedded throughout, followed by primer and a 1.5mm silicone render finish.

Correct preparation and the right system for the existing substrate are key to achieving a durable, high-quality finish.

More progress to follow.

Here’s a recent external wall insulation (EWI) silicone render project we recently completed in Hornchurch.

The customer chose a champagne finish with contrasting grey feature pillars, giving the front of the property a sharp, modern and clean appearance. The combination of colours really helped transform the exterior while keeping a timeless look.
