CONCRETE MIXER DRIVER – BRIDGWATER

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our team.

The position will be mainly based on one long-term construction site in Bridgwater, carrying out concrete deliveries around the site. There will also be occasional work away from the main site, delivering concrete to other customers and projects when required.

The role will include:

* Driving and operating a concrete mixer truck
* Delivering concrete safely and efficiently around a large construction site
* Occasional deliveries to other sites/customers
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks
* Keeping the mixer clean and in good working condition
* Working closely with the batching plant and site teams
* Following site and company health & safety procedures

Requirements:

* HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
* Valid Driver CPC
* Digital Tachograph Card
* CSCS or MPQC card
* Good understanding of vehicle and site safety
* Reliable and comfortable working independently
* Previous concrete mixer experience preferred, although training can be provided for the right person

Location: Mainly Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday with additional hours when required
Start: Immediate / ASAP

This is a good opportunity for someone looking for consistent work predominantly on one site, rather than spending every day travelling between different delivery locations.

Competitive rate of pay, dependent on experience.

Salary & Benefits - Dependent on experience Working Hours - Full time, Monday-Friday
8:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm.
The company and the role:
Cheddar Tyre Supplies is a well established family run business in the heart of Cheddar that has built up an enviable reputation for over 40 years. We serve local people and supply tyres and batteries to a range of domestic, commercial, 4x4 and agricultural vehicles.
We are currently recruiting a Tyre Fitter to join our team. It is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to work locally or for someone to extend and improve their skills in the industry. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
The successful applicant must have good customer service skills, be a team player and live within a commutable distance to Cheddar.
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
