This month marks 10 years since GMC Home Solutions first opened its doors.

Back in June 2016, we started with no customers and a simple vision: to provide quality workmanship, honest advice and exceptional customer service.

From day one, our priority has always been to look after our customers. We believe that if you do a good job, treat people fairly and stand by your work, success will follow.

Over the last decade, we have been privileged to work on hundreds of homes across Stockport and the surrounding areas, helping customers transform and improve their properties. As the old bathroom was removed, the team uncovered an unexpected issue hidden beneath the floorboards โ€” a leaking waste pipe.

These are the kinds of problems that often go unnoticed for years and are only revealed once renovation work begins.

The leak was identified, investigated and repaired before any new flooring or bathroom fixtures were installed, ensuring the new bathroom has a solid foundation and preventing bigger issues further down the line.

Major renovation work underway by GMC Home Solutionsโ ๏ฟผ ๐Ÿ”จ

Transforming homes with quality and care.

This property required extensive remedial work after damp issues affected both the front and rear rooms. The existing floors and walls were stripped right back to bare brick to properly resolve the underlying problems rather than simply covering them up.

As part of the restoration, the GMC team installed a brand new DPC (damp proof course) along with a new insulated floor system to improve protection, warmth and long-term durability throughout the property.

The project also included full boarding, plastering and skimming, bespoke archways and custom boxing-in work around exposed pipework to create a clean and seamless finish ready for the next phase of renovation.
