We have just completed the French polishing restoration of a grand piano lid for our customer in Prickwillow.

A leaking plant pot had caused damage that penetrated through the finish, leaving noticeable marks to the surface.

We carefully stripped back the lid, repaired the damaged areas and refinished the top to restore the piano’s original colour and beautiful appearance.

Another stunning transformation completed and ready to be enjoyed again ✨

Today we were in Leasingham, Sleaford delivering a dining room table back to our lovely customers.

We carefully stripped back the old finish, carried out a series of repairs including stabilising a loose leg and refinished using a softly tinted lacquer with a subtle white tone to soften the warmth of the timber.

A lovely transformation that keeps the character of the table whilst giving it a fresh, refined look.

Our customers were delighted with the result and were kind enough to leave us a five-star review which always means a lot to us.

We recently completed the French polishing repair and restoration of this beautiful antique table.

The table had several areas of raised and damaged veneer, which we carefully re-laid. We also supplied and reset any missing veneers.

The entire table, including the base, was then traditionally hand finished using French polishing techniques, restoring its depth, warmth, and natural shine.

It’s always rewarding to preserve the craftsmanship of antique furniture and give it a new lease of life. Our customer was delighted with our work and left us a wonderful review.

French Polishing Restoration, Peterhouse College.

We’ve recently completed the full restoration of two large library tables on behalf of Peterhouse College in Cambridge.

The table tops were carefully stripped and refinished in our workshop, while the bases were restored on site.

A great project that has brought these impressive tables back to life, ready for many more years of service.

On-site furniture repair to make good the damaged corner of an armoir, in Camborne, on behalf of the Removal Claim Service. To begin with we re-adhered the broken piece. Once dried we filled and shaped before mixing and applying a colour to blend.
