🔎 Kitchen socket fault finding today…

Tracked the fault down to the dishwasher/washing machine area — now comes the fun part! 😅

Cheap lino flooring has been laid around everything, so we’ve got to carefully get the appliances out without ripping or damaging the floor.

Sometimes finding the electrical fault is the easy bit… getting to it is another story! ⚡️😂

Out carrying out EICRs on a couple of really unique Airbnb properties today. Full electrical inspection and testing to make sure everything is safe, compliant and ready for the guests.

Not your everyday EICR, that’s for sure! 😂⚡️

HOW DO YOU DESIGN YOUR HMO COMMUNAL AREAS? 👀🏠

This is how I like to do mine…

When you walk through the front door, I want it to feel more like you’re walking into a hotel than a standard HMO. ⚡️👌

Lighting, positioning, emergency lighting, sockets, switches and all the little finishing details — everything needs to work together and look right.

I mainly work on top-end HMOs, so for me the communal areas need to set the standard for the rest of the property.

Safe and compliant, obviously — but that doesn’t mean it can’t look premium too.
