I’ve been using the Tradecert app, and it’s genuinely made running the day-to-day side of the business so much easier.

⚡️ NEW 4-FLOOR HMO STARTED TODAY ⚡️

Kicking off a seriously busy week with a full electrical installation on this four-floor HMO 🏠

Everything is being done brand new throughout — brushed chrome accessories, new shower supply, LED downlights, full fire alarm system, new sockets and switches, new consumer unit and plenty more.

This is a proper top-to-bottom job, from first fix all the way through to final testing and certification.

Loads of work ahead of us this week, but this one is going to look 👌 when it’s finished!

Another perfect example of why EICRs are so important. ⚡️

I attended a property to carry out an EICR and found an old rewirable fuse board still in service.

But it got worse… someone had installed new feeds from the fuse board, run them under the floor, then connected them into old VIR rubber-insulated cable using junction boxes hidden beneath the floorboards. 😳

From the outside, everything might look like it’s working perfectly fine — but you never know what’s been left hidden underneath.

This is exactly why Electrical Installation Condition Reports are necessary. Testing finds the dangers you simply can’t see.

Such a great robust fuseboard to install , would you believe the lights were also wired in vir cable 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ and insulation was falling apart !! Fire 🔥 waiting to happen ,with a void insurance claim , and a very upset landlord , stay up to date nce

Another summer house wired up and ready to go! ⚡️🏡

The customer was absolutely certain he wanted it second fixed straight away — before the insulation, plasterboard or anything else had even gone up! 😂

So we cracked on, got everything second fixed, fully tested and working as it should.

Not quite the usual order of doing things… but the customer gets what the customer wants! 😂⚡️
