This week we’ve been in Wi******er working on a double attached carport. The oak frame is now up, and we’ve managed to avoid the chickens… although the cockerel has been keeping such a close eye on us that he’s decided he’s coming home with us! 🐓😂

Nearly Finished in Salisbury

We’re nearly finished with this beautiful oak frame porch near Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The next step is for the tiler to complete the roof, and we can’t wait to see the finished result.

An oak frame porch is a fantastic way to add character, warmth and kerb appeal to a property — and this one is already looking like a great addition!

The oak frame porch is really starting to take shape. The glazing is now complete, and next we will be adding the oak capping to bring the structure together and complete the detailing.

Our oak frame porch is really starting to take shape now.

The frame is coming together beautifully, with the next stage being the installation of the glass. We’re looking forward to seeing this project completed and the final result brought to life.

It’s been a busy week in the workshop, so we couldn’t resist sharing a sped-up look at the process behind one of our oak frame projects.

This particular frame is for a beautiful glazed porch, with each component carefully cut and jointed before being assembled in the workshop.

Once the oak was cut, we used our chain morticer to create the precise mortice joints before assembling the front truss.

We’ll be sharing more of this project once it’s on site, so keep an eye out to see the finished porch come together.

We’ve just finished this 2-bay oak frame build in Ludgershall, near Andover.

The softwood cladding, painted black, complements the oak beautifully, creating a striking and timeless finish.

The side store is a practical addition too — perfect for storing logs, bins, or anything else that needs to be tucked away neatly.

Another step forward on this oak frame build.

We’re ready for scaffolding to go up as the project moves into the next stage. We’ll be back once the roof is completed to continue our work and see it all come together.
