We're excited to post another new project underway in Hurworth, this time at .

This extension will deliver two brand-new dental surgeries, a new staff room, a new waiting area, and enhanced disabled access. This will significantly expand the practice’s already fantastic facilities.

With the practice remaining open throughout the project, our team is working closely with the practice to coordinate the works around appointments and minimise any disruption to patients and staff.

This is just one of three exciting projects we currently have underway in Hurworth. We're proud to maintain a strong local presence and to keep delivering great projects in the village.

Pictured are practice owner Stephen and our director Darragh, as we get the project underway.

This week, we welcomed Jude from SFX School in Richmond onto site for his work experience placement, and he has been an outstanding addition to the team.

Enthusiastic, hardworking, and a real credit to his school and his family. The construction industry would be extremely lucky to have him!

If the future isn't here with us at Scanlan Construction, we would like to wish Jude all the very best for the future.

An incredible Grade II-listed home over 6,500 sq ft, with tennis courts, paddocks, and unique period features that’ll be retained throughout.

We’re thrilled to be trusted for the job with this beautiful home in Hurworth, and it’s not a bad view to call the office for the foreseeable future either 🤝

We’re back at Rockliffe Hall working on another exciting project 🤝

This time, we’re installing a power plant that recovers and recycles heat that would otherwise be wasted. Previously, boilers were required to heat the large volumes of water used throughout the hotel and spa, but this new system will significantly reduce that demand.

The result? Hundreds of thousands of pounds in savings over the next 20 years, alongside a much more sustainable and environmentally friendly way of operating. ✅

Great to be involved in a project that delivers both commercial and environmental benefits.

If you’ve got a specialist commercial project, give our team a call to see how we’re able to support you 👇

Scanlan Construction Ltd is pleased to be progressing multiple projects across Yorkshire and the North East, and we’re excited to share them as they get underway.

📍 Ricknall Mill, situated along the River Skerne

Originally established in the 17th century, with the present mill dating from around 1815, Ricknall Mill holds significant historic value and calls for a careful, considered approach to both preservation and construction.

Our team will be working to sensitively restore and enhance the building, respecting its heritage, character, and craftsmanship throughout.

Projects like this require a balance of technical expertise and appreciation for traditional construction methods — something we take great pride in delivering.

We look forward to helping bring this historic site into its next chapter as a family home.
