Another install done on an ancient Worcester. They don't make them like they use to, this Worcester Bosch combi was over 16 years old, barely any plastic components and we believe thats why it has lasted this long.

Replaced with a boiler that too has little plastic components, central heating system chemically flushed and cleaned. Magnetic and Scale filter fit and system protected with inhibitor, all to prolong and protect the boiler. As a result of being cleaned and installed as per the manufacterers instructions this customer is now covered with a 10 year warranty from Ideal Boilers as long as they keep their annual servicing up!

So this is a first for me, very dangerous! This is the flue test point which we use to measure the performance of combustion, which a by product being CO (Carbon Monoxide) and as you can see the plug on the left hadn't been replaced on the last inspection resulting in carbon monoxide being pumped out into the room.

The homeowners had asked me if this would be the cause of their headaches and drowsiness this last year which is common symptoms of CO poisoning.

I can not express how important it is for you to have an annual service of your gas appliances by a Gas Safe Register engineer!
