Insulation is in, and the doors and window are now fitted! 🙌

With how much sunlight this garden room gets, our client chose the optional extra of integrated blinds — perfect for controlling the light and adding privacy, with such a smart finish. 👌

🔩 There’s more to this beam than meets the eye…

Sandwiched between these two 4x2 timbers is a steel plate, bolted together to help support the roof above the door opening and transfer the load into the supporting framework on either side.

This steel reinforcement comes as standard across all our buildings. We believe the structure deserves just as much care as the finish — because every garden room we build should stand the test of time. 🛠️

Once the cladding goes on, these details are hidden. That’s why we show you what goes into our buildings, from the framework through to the finishing touches.

Today we’ve fitted the roof noggins, screwed down the plywood roof boards and added the roof membrane. Another step closer to turning this garden space into a bespoke office 🙌

🏡 Comparing garden buildings? Look beyond the finished photo.

Different buildings use different construction methods. An online log-cabin kit typically comes with pre-cut components for assembly. Our garden rooms are built from scratch, on site, around your requirements.

Here’s what’s going into this build 👇

🪵 4x2 timber wall framework — individually cut and assembled on site.

🔩 Steel reinforcement above the doors — a steel plate sandwiched between two 4x2 timbers and bolted together to carry the roof load across the opening.

🏗️ 5x2 roof timbers, finished with a 6x2 timber fascia.

📐 Bespoke dimensions and layout — with doors and windows positioned to suit your garden and how you’ll use the space.

🛠️ Built and installed by us — from the first timbers through to the finishing touches.

When comparing quotes, ask how the building is constructed, what insulation and finishes are included, and who handles the base and installation.

The structure is hidden when the building is finished. That’s why we show you what goes into it.
