More and more we realise that our kitchen is the hub of our home and having these spaces open plan and easily accessible is key to the flow of your home. 🏠
My latest project in Carrbridge was to open up through 3 rooms to extend a brand new Howdens kitchen throughout. ✅
With the help of Logie Timber we managed to save on wall units and instead fit some bespoke Douglas Fir feature shelving with integrated led lighting. ☀️🌲
A much more sociable and bright area now to host friends, eat together and enjoy being around family.👍🏻

Most of you will know that a lot of older properties don't really have adequate insulation if any at all in the external walls.
This can cause a few issues especially during winter, leaving rooms cold and sometimes even damp and not to mention the increased heating bills... 💸
Recently I was asked to fix this issue in a home in Aviemore.
We started by stripping out the existing plasterboard, fitting some shiny new Quinntherm insulation and a re-plaster from Stefano Trolese with all new finishings. ✅

Making good use of alcove space!
American white oak cabinets and shelves, turning otherwise unusable space into good storage areas with some nice shelving for display. ✅🔨🪚

Two days over near Glenlivet repairing some damage from the winter time. ✅

A false Oak beam built and fitted today in Aviemore ✅
These are a great addition if you have opened up into another room or just want to make a feature piece within your home with some nice hardwood. 🙂🔨

Great wee job re-modelling this kitchen/dining room area in Carrbridge. ✅🔨
First we lifted, re-leveled and insulated the sub-floor
New pipework and a rewire while everything was exposed and walls were opened up.
A new skim coat by Stefano Trolese Plastering Services to tidy everything up.
And finally the new kitchen fitted, new flooring and finishings.
Job done 🙂✅👍🏻

Being a climber myself, I was delighted when the call came in to build a home climbing wall and training area for up and coming, young climber, Jamie Lowther.
Jamie competes in climbing all over the country and during lockdown has been unable to get access to his local wall to train.
Solution... Build your own! ✅🧗
This 45 Degree pitched bouldering wall is a force to be reckoned with but as you can see, not a problem for Jamie! 💪🏻
As well as building the climbing wall, we also fitted out the garage area with new shelving for all Jamie and his father John's kit.
We also floored into the roof space to provide even more storage.
All in, a great job to be involved in and happy to help out a lovely family too. 🔨✅
