Just an update, unfortunately due to a slower recovery than I first thought from my surgery, I'm not going to be available this week, hopefully back up and hobbling next week Monday 7th onwards if all goes to plan. See you all out and about soon 👍

Just to give you all an update I'm unfortunately out of action at the moment till at least the end of August due to having knee surgery yesterday. Hoping to be back up and 'running' or perhaps hobbling in September as long as I'm fit and allowed to drive. Thanks for your understanding, I keep a check on the phone for any messages. Well slightly out of my usual area today, but a request from a regular client I've done various jobs for at a local holiday park asked if I'd travel to her home address for several jobs. So a day was planned and managed to complete all the jobs needed including new window hinges and internal window lock mechanisms several window handles, re-packing door and window glass and replacing broken front door hinges to suit. Alot to do but all done and another happy returning customer. 👍 Sorry no pics as I always forget when I'm busy!

Slightly tricky access to 2 windows this morning which both had failed gearboxes/lock strips on. Even though both windows couldn't be fully opened due to the scaffolding being in the way, I was still able to repair with the necessary parts. Nothing like a challenge, all in a day's work as they say! 👍

Maybe just a coincidence but I keep getting jobs similar happening virtually same day or next day. So I've been called 2 days in a row to replace the same model failed Mortice Dead locks at 2 different farms. Odd as those particular ones are generally pretty robust both customers indicated that the locks had been installed at least 15years prior, it's like their self destruct mechanisms just went off ! At least they had their money's worth out of them over the years!👌

Think someone got their money's worth out of this barrel, no wonder they were having trouble locking the door! Completely corroded the pins etc causing major problems when locking. New anti-snap barrel fitted along with lock strip service and adjustments to finish off another smooth operator! 👌
