We’ve done our research, it’s official! 🏆

We don’t often set records at CAMS, so it’s nice to say we’ve been somewhere no one has been before. Between ourselves and our client, we’ve done a lot of research over the last few weeks to make sure we weren’t falsely claiming this one! 😆

On Saturday 22nd August 2026, our team worked on the Crow’s Nest as part of a high level cleaning project at Whitehaven Harbour. The Crow’s Nest was initially climbed and rigged by our L3 Supervisor Will, before then being worked over the following days by our other L1 tech’s Chris, Connor and Andy 🧼 after being completely untouched for almost 27 years following its installation in 1999.

Congratulations gentlemen, that’s definitely one for the logbooks 💪🏼

And the final part of the project… the Crow’s Nest! ✅

There’s been a bit of history made during this one, but we’ll save that for a separate post of its own 👀

Incredible job as always from a top swinging team of sprayers 🪢 we’ve had to work with some interesting weather that’s been hot and sweaty on the ground and then cold and windy when your 40m above it on a single pole! It goes without saying after almost 27 years of surviving the elements on the West Cumbrian coast, the Crow’s Nest would certainly benefit from a fresh lick of paint, perhaps a project for the future? 😉 But we’re super pleased with the results, so much so the birds left us a present on the dome overnight so we’ll give it another rinse off this morning! 💩🤦🏻‍♂️😂

A few weeks ago it was our birthday! 🎂 CAMS is now entering into the fourth year of business and a chance to reflect on where we have come from. Here’s a throw back to one of our first ever jobs, it’s crazy to think what we’ve built in what doesn’t feel like 3 years at all!
