Was great to have a catch up with Tim from Perrett Post Plate who popped in for a chat. Now these guys designed and built the green plate on our post knocker that holds the posts in place when they're driven into the ground. The unique thing about this plate is it doesn't leave any spike holes or any damage to the top of the fence posts, unlike those on other post drivers. Instead it has 200 retractable pins that surround the tops of the fence posts to hold them steady and prevent damage. I bought one of the "early models" of their post plates when they first started selling them and to be fair it's past the test of time with flying colours. To find out more, you'd best watch the video.

Tim meets up with James John over in West Wales, UK to discuss progress after 4 years of running our Perrett Post Plate. Our longest video yet as full of good...

Hi everyone, thank you for all the support so far with the Fence For Frazer fencing competition this coming Saturday 14th September. We've had a number of people who are unable to attend on the day ask how they can make a donation, so we've setup the Gofundme account where all the proceeds will go directly to the childrens cancer charity LATCH.
If you've not heard about the event, have a read below,
Fence For Frazer
Hi all, we're running a charity fencing competition inspired by Frazer, a very brave local 8 year old child who recently underwent a leg amputation as a result of his battle with cancer. All proceeds and monies raised from the day will go to the children's cancer charity LATCH that have supported many families during difficult times.
The competition is to provide an opportunity for anyone interested to showcase their skillset in the er****on of agricultural stock fencing in a friendly competitive environment, whilst also raising funds and awareness for the charity LATCH to help with all the good work it does in supporting families like Frazer’s.
The hope is that this can become an annual event, to continue to support the charity whilst also showcasing the talent and some of the often-overlooked hidden arts of the agricultural stock fencing industry in South Wales.
The competition will consist of teams of two people to erect a length of agricultural stockproof fence to a set specification under a set time limit. Teams are only required to bring hand tools with all materials provided by the competition organisers and sponsors, Ladds Ironmongers, James Davies Timber, Tornado Wire. We are very thankful for the prizes that have been kindly donated by Pasturetec, LF Fencing, and Bushpig.
Entry fee for the competition is £25 per team, with all proceeds and donations raised will be going to the charity LATCH. All competitors will have free entry to the agricultural show on the day.
The competition is part of the Llandyfaelog Agricultural Show with many other activities and trade stands on the day for all the family to enjoy. The show is on the 14th of September at the United Counties Showground, Carmarthen, SA33 5DR. For anyone coming from further afield, you won’t find an easier show to get to, leave the M4 at Junction 49, onto the A48 for 15 minutes to Carmarthen, then 2 minutes into the showground.
We have already been overwhelmed by the interest by both sponsors and prospective competitors and invite anyone interested to join us on this adventure to create something good and positive on a number of platforms. To bring an industry closer together, where like-minded people can meet, compare styles and learn something new, enhancing standards, whilst raising awareness and funds for a very worthy charity. And last but not least to Frazer, his family, and all others battling through difficult times, letting them know, ‘You are not alone, we are thinking of you, we are there for you’.
For anyone interested in more information on competing, supporting, sponsoring or a trade stand at the competition and show, you can contact

Many thanks.

Big thank you to JDS Machinery for this lovely clean secondhand 6tonner, and fitting the grip talon off my old digger thats been sitting on the yard for years, great service, thank you, 👌👌.
Really missed not having one for a number of years now. It should make life easier going ahead of the tracked postdriver for fenceline clearing, along with ash dieback removal and all other agri based groundworks.

Bit slow on here but would just like to say a Merry Christmas to all customers, suppliers and everyone inbetween. A massive thank you to all for your support over the year, it seems to have flown by. Apologies for the lack of content on here, will aim to do better next year, but here's a few pics that I actually managed to find on my phone of what's been going on.

Been a long time since my last post, here's a bit of what's been going up.

Back on the stock fencing and some glastir grant work. All with Tornado Wire Ltd high tensile lambsafe stock nett, some on slow grown tanalised redwood and some on creosoted timber. All complete supply and erect with a few back tweeking utility poles supplied by a customer 🏋‍♂️😯. Some miserable weather and sticky ground conditions at times but the trusty morooka kept afloat.
