Pollarded a white poplar today. Couldn't believe the size it was as it was only 23 years old and planted by the customer. It may look aggressive but will be back in no time and need doing as there was lots of included bark in the main stems so was vulnerable to split apart in strong winds.
Left the wood and woodchip on site for their use.

Took down a load of dead and hanging ones in amongst the woods and winched over a few dead elms from over the horse field for safety

Had time to get back over to Trapp and finish this hedge this morning :)
Customer wanted maximum benefits for wildlife and variety of habitat so I laid the top section and cut the bottom section. Bottom section will be laid in a couple of years time! Very satisfying

Made a start on some hedgelaying over in Trapp today. One of my favourite jobs!
