We're hiring: Electrical Project Manager ⚡️ - Carlisle

Hardtech E.S. North is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Carlisle.

The role covers electrical projects from initial enquiry through to completion - site and client meetings, programming and progress monitoring, managing labour and subcontractors, cost control, quotations, and variations. You'll also be responsible for site inspections, quality checks and health and safety compliance throughout.

We're looking for someone with previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Supervisor, a background in commercial and industrial electrical installations, and a solid understanding of current regulations and standards.

You'll need to be well organised, able to manage projects independently, and hold a full UK driving licence.

A building's carbon footprint isn't set by one green feature added at the end. It's shaped gradually, in all the design choices made long before anyone walks through the door.

The Cleator Moor Activity Centre we've helped transform is a great example. It's designed to run entirely on electricity - air source heat pumps for heating, rooftop solar generating on site and exporting what's spare, heat recovery built into the ventilation, LED lighting throughout, and a building management system metering it all - so nothing runs harder than it needs to.

Rather than one headline feature, the ambition here was for the whole building to run efficiently.

For such a facility, that adds up to something practical: lower running costs and lower carbon. Every pound not spent on energy is a pound that stays in a centre the whole town relies on.

Congratulations to Cumberland City Council and everyone who brought this one to life for the local community. A pleasure to have delivered the M&E alongside Thomas Armstrong Group.

Lights. Camera. Action. 🎭

We’re proud to be supporting the delivery of a theatre refurbishment for a leisure centre, with works focused on lighting and electrical installations throughout the space.

From ceiling LED systems and emergency lighting to general lighting and dressing room fit-outs, our team is working carefully to help bring both function and atmosphere together ahead of the safe completion of works in the coming months.

It’s always fantastic playing a part in projects that will soon be enjoyed by the wider community - we’re looking forward to seeing this one come to life. ✨

As of 20th April, PK Engineering is now Hardtech Engineering Services (North) Ltd.

This marks the final step in bringing our businesses together under one unified brand within the Hardtech Engineering Services Group - alongside Cronshaw Electrical Limited and Hardtech HV.

For our clients and partners, it’s very much business as usual. The same people, the same approach, and the same commitment to delivering high-quality work.

What’s new is how we move forward - as part of a more integrated group, with the addition of Hardtech HV capability and closer alignment across our teams.

We’ll also be launching our new website in the coming days, bringing everything together under one roof.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and proud to continue delivering as Hardtech Engineering Services (North).
