Thought I'd share a few pics of our ever expanding & evolving garden and passion for plants and organic food.
The hobby is growing, like the plants are!

As a family, we chose a predominantly keto based 'diet' so the veg is integral to us and we've decided to help others with the same love of wholesome natural food.
We are offering all sorts of fully organically grown plants, flowers and veg - all grown from seed and then potted up into 100% locally sourced, naturally composted, sawdust/ horse manure mix.
Glad to have finally upgraded the rainwater collection system and plumbed the water into each greenhouse. Last summers storage didnt last long enough.
Next plan is to connect the 2nd IBC to this system in the hope welsh weather will fill them and completely serve the plants over the drier months. 😁🙏

What an interesting job !
St dogmaels church organ.Fault finding.
What an incredible instrument behind all those oak panels !
Its been tripping the fuseboard for a long time so they've asked me in to test and locate. Took me ages to find which panels could be removed before getting into the belly of the beast ! Its so well made it took me a while to suss the two panels out. Once inside and After deciphering the design, i found a few minor issues, now rectified. Finally found the single phase air blower motor - with its original capacitor - right at the back in a wooden enclosure. Unfortunately it wasnt the capacitor once I cut its cable and tested it separately. The motor live to earth tested near dead short so it'll be a major job removing to then be reconditioned/replaced 😔
Luckily, as a very temporary measure, the motor is not connected to anything conductive so I'm happy in the knowledge it can be played safely in 4 days time but those in charge have been told it must be repaired as quickly as possible. To add to the motor issue I noticed the air chamber is leaking air from one corner which is why the chamber wasn't expanding. Gutted.

Fault finding fun !!
Thought I'd share this scenario.
Testing a house thats been damp from no heating for years and very clear evidence of rats throughout the place too.
At the fuseboard, the insulation resistance values were really bad. I went through EVERYTHING, disconnected all loads on every socket and even tested every leg of socket wiring between all sockets on the downstairs. Cables themselves were fine ! Couldn't find any evidence of something still connected.
So I tested the socket faceplates on their own. A Total of 5 sockets were bad ! One socket was particularly bad which caused all the initial issues. This socket i tested was well within limits but visually, it looks fairly new and in good order yet clear signs its failing.
If you have issues with RCD tripping in damp cold areas, it may not be the wiring !
Simply cook your suspect sockets in the oven for 20 minutes, turning occasionally ....
Im joking !!! 😂😂
Have a test done. Replace where needed

Always a silver lining 😁 while the snow stopped travel i managed to replace the side firebricks in our woodburner at home and sorted out our dishwasher that packed up last week... various little leaks from dried/worn washers and needed a good overhaul. Now both working perfectly, house is toasty and dishes are sparkling (and the van is in one piece safe on the driveway) !!

Testing a house and found an issue with the network . National grid called out to repair the bad connection on the pole. Super quick call out from the 1st lad and then Hero work with the pole climber, fair play to them all.
