This water feature we installed a couple of years ago had a developed a slow flow rate so we did these 3 things to help it flow correctly again.

1. We cleared any debris that had gathered around the pump since it had been installed.

2. We raised the platform the pump was sat on to help increase the water flow.

3. We rodded the feed in from the well to ensure it that wasn’t blocked.

Just by doing these 3 things, we got the pump flowing again fairly quickly. 👍

Excavating and metal detecting can bring up some fantastic finds. We were checking the ground for large metal objects before starting the work on the pitch, and found these interesting items. Plus the ground underneath the soil was also hiding an archaeological build. Keep watching til the end and let us know what you think this area used to be? 👀

Wading gear on! 🤿 We needed to remove a couple of branches that had fallen in the lake over winter. Hard work pulling these through a silty lake (and nearly falling in!) but worth it to drag a load of pond w**d out with it too! 💪
