🚨 BIG NEWS FOR TRADESPEOPLE! 🚨

Apparently, Liberal Democrat London Assembly member Hina Bokhari has suggested that tradespeople should consider using cargo bikes instead of white vans to transport their tools and equipment. 🚲🔧

Well… Flamesmart is always willing to embrace new ideas! 😂

So, in the interests of being environmentally friendly, we’ve decided we’re going to give it a go.

Just picture it…

🚲 One cargo bike
🔧 3 toolboxes
🪜 A ladder
🔥 Boiler parts
🛠️ Pipework
💨 Gas analyser
🧰 Every tool known to man
☕ And obviously the essential coffee

…and somehow we’re supposed to fit all that on a bicycle. 😂

We’re particularly looking forward to the first emergency breakdown where the customer says:

“How long will you be?”

And we reply:

“About 45 minutes… depending on the hills, headwind and whether I can get the boiler on the back without it falling off.” 🤣

But hey… if this works, we’ll happily admit we were wrong!

🔥 WE HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE… 🔥

We’re TRAITORS. 😈

We hate to admit it… but after watching the latest episode of The Traitors, we’ve realised we may have been guilty all along. 😂

Our fellow heating and gas companies probably sit around the round table every night asking:

🗣️ “Who is giving customers that level of service?”
🗣️ “Who is offering those prices?”
🗣️ “Who is actually turning up when they say they will?”
🗣️ “WHO IS THE TRAITOR?!” 👀

And unfortunately… it’s us. 🤣

We’re guilty of:
🔥 Providing a professional, reliable service
🔥 Giving honest advice
🔥 Keeping our prices as competitive as possible
🔥 Looking after our customers
🔥 Turning up when we say we will
🔥 And generally making things rather awkward for the competition! 😜

But unlike The Traitors…

There’s no banishment here.
Just boilers being serviced, heating being repaired and customers getting looked after. 😂

This was the fuel bill for just one vehicle today — over £127 for 65 litres. 😳

Like many small businesses, we’re feeling the squeeze from rising costs. Fuel, parts, equipment, insurance, wages and pretty much everything else involved in running a business has continued to increase.

At Flamesmart, we’ve worked hard to absorb those increases wherever possible.

In fact, we haven’t increased our boiler servicing prices for 3 years. 🔥

We genuinely want to keep our prices as fair and affordable as we can for our customers, but there comes a point where the rising cost of simply getting to jobs and keeping the business running makes that increasingly difficult.

We’re not looking to make huge increases or take advantage of the situation — far from it. We just want to be able to continue providing the reliable, professional service our customers have come to expect from us.

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our customers, especially those who have been with us for years. ❤️
