Kitchen I'm due to finish this week, needs a couple of bespoke solutions making, appliances fitting, cornice, pelmet and plinth finishing off, but it's ready for the 12mm Fennex work tops to be templated this evening!

Bespoke Door Modification.

What are sunny Saturday mornings made for? Splicing two doors into one of course!

So there's not a lot of oak to these budget Howdens doors, and the customer needed one modifying to suit a stair rake. Having cut the first door in to suit the aperture of the raked frame, I routed over a meter of a door style out of a spare door, to the correct depth to imitate the style and top rail of the raked door, then mitred it in to suit.

This was a real labour of love, but I really do enjoy these quirky challenges!

Budget Bespoke Cabinetry!

Fun little fitted cabinet job for a local shop, designed and manufactured to specifically and discretely accommodate their security systems, fitted and ready for the customer to paint.

I'm currently in the process of setting up my own spray finishing booth, and hope to offer this new service soon!

Happy Monday Folks!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, been an absolutely manic two months!

Spent about two weeks helping out a mate from Marlin joinery over in Chasetown, fitting some beautiful Accoya windows in keeping with the conservation of The Knoll, in Barton-under-Needwood. Marlin joinery have created some beautiful joinery and together we installed these timber framed windows to the highest standard.

Oak Fenchdoors.

Fitted a pair of beautiful, fully glazed, oak french doors yesterday. Modified the frame to suit the new instalation, and repaired damage from the old doors.

The customer only wanted one handled door, with the intent of the other working as a fixed screen for day today life, but giving the option to open out fully on parliment hinges when required.

Half-tiled bathroom.

Half-tiling to bathroom walls, with floor to ceiling tiling around the shower enclosure - including niche.

Being a carpenter as well as a tiler, I created the sub-structure for the niche to the customers specifications - might sound silly but the height was dictated by a specific brand of shampoo bottle, a perfect living solution for that customer.
