Good afternoon everyone…..Hope those that are off work today ,are enjoying this beautiful weather
However I do feel for those unfortunates who are painting exteriors today…….
Some people may think it’s the perfect weather for it ,however I can assure you it’s most definitely not.
There is nothing worse than getting sun burnt while working and then back to work the following day in the same weather conditions.
As well as that ,the viscosity of the paint film thins down considerably, therefore not giving the surface the protection it requires.
This is based on solvent Bourne coatings like micro porous flexarb gloss
It’s Important that these coatings are applied in the perfect temperature ,if they are to reach their full potential.

I’m thinking I may come back to work in November for 6 weeks if they was any interest

Good afternoon everyone, hope all is well & you’re all having a great day

So this will be the last post I ever do on this page , as last night i decided to take early retirement ,from today onwards

For the past 2 years I’ve worked with a fractured knee , I’ve been in constant pain every day -Thank God for painkillers
7 weeks ago I fell on black ice giving me a broken tailbone and damage to my sciatic nerve
I tried to continue working through it but it’s got to a point that I feel if I continue to work , I will actually do more damage to myself
Debbie and I decided that enough was enough
I was always going to retire when I turned 55 However this fall has changed my mind so we have decided to bring it forward by 3 years

I just want to Thank each and everyone of you who have gave me their custom over the past 20 years
I’ve been so fortunate to work for such great people
I truly appreciate everyone one of you

All ceilings finished with white low reflective Matt
All woodwork finished in Acrylic eggshell
All walls finished with white extreme clean ,leaving a scrubbable surface
Except kitchen ,that’s finished “de nimes” farrow and ball low sheen
Radiators finished with white radiator enamel

Our Annual Christmas Raffle .

Just getting ready for our annual Christmas draw .
Every client I’ve worked for this year will automatically go into the hat for our 3 M&S hampers
As well as our draw , I will be delivering a bottle and a box of chocolates to each and every client I’ve worked for this year ,as a small token of my appreciation for putting your trust in Mark Sime Decorators.
We plan to draw our raffle on Monday 22nd December,so this monday coming .we will be live on Facebook at 12 noon
Good luck to everyone.
If on Sunday when I’m out delivering,and you are not home ,I will leave your gift at your door with a thank you letter,handwritten by myself .
I feel its the least I can do ,after all -your house is most people’s ,most prized asset and the fact that you have put your trust in me to enhance it , fills my heart with gratitude .
