Herringbone flooring installation in progress 🤎

We’re installing this beautiful wood-effect herringbone flooring throughout the ground floor of this home, carrying the same pattern through the hallway, living room and the different angles of the space.

The layout makes this one particularly interesting, with the herringbone changing direction as it moves through the house while keeping the overall floor connected.

A lot of the floor is already down, with the living room still to be completed.

Another flooring installation taking shape as part of this home renovation.

The kitchen isn’t even installed yet… and somehow the floor is already stealing the show 👀✨

We’re currently working on two bathrooms in the same home 🔧

Same materials, same style — just adapted to different layouts.

One is built around a shower 🚿
This one is designed for a bath 🛁

To make it work, we had to reconfigure the space, including installing a new window to fit the bath with a glass screen.

Simple, clean and being built with care to a high standard.

Using:
✔️ Grey tiles (30x60 walls / 60x60 floor)
✔️ Wall-hung toilet (Geberit)
✔️ Floating vanity unit

Both still in progress — final results coming soon 👀

This one turned into a proper challenge 😅

We started with a tiny WC with barely any usable space, so the only option was to knock through the wall and extend the room.

That gave us just enough space to fit a proper 80 x 110 shower — which completely changes how usable the bathroom will be 🚿

The window made things eventrickier… it was originally one large window split by an internal wall 🤯
So we removed it and installed a smaller one to free up space for all the bathroom fittings.

This is still work in progress, but you can already see the difference.

And just to make things more interesting… we’re renovating TWO bathrooms at the same time in this house 😅
This is just the first one.

Fresh self-levelling compound poured in a 50m²+ living room and hallway – preparing the subfloor for laminate flooring installation.

When replacing carpets with laminate or engineered flooring, the most important step is what’s underneath.

Uneven subfloor =
❌ panels separating over time
❌ movement on large surfaces
❌ squeaking & premature damage

A properly levelled surface ensures:
✔ perfect panel connection
✔ long-term durability
✔ clean, professional finish

At JS House Renovations, we don’t just install floors — we organise and prepare everything from start to finish. Subfloor preparation, levelling, flooring installation — all handled professionally.

Bathroom renovation in a UK bungalow 🛠️

This bathroom started as a tired, outdated space.

The client wanted something clean, modern and practical — but still timeless.

So we stripped it back to the basics and rebuilt it properly.

✔️ New terrazzo-style wall tiles to half height
✔️ Large 60x60 grey floor tiles for a seamless feel
✔️ Bespoke extended toilet boxing designed to flow into the vanity unit
✔️ Dual heating towel rail (gas + electric)
✔️ All electrics hidden and completed to standards

Every detail planned with functionality in mind — not just looks.

Final reveal coming next 👀
Is this a style you’d choose for your own home?

These stairs had seen years of daily life — worn carpet, tired wood, no character left.

We stripped everything back, refreshed the wood with a new paint finish, installed a brand-new carpet and completed the look with a stair runner — finished with a carpet rod on every step for a timeless, elegant finish.

Now the stairs don’t just connect floors —
they set the tone for the entire house.

✨ Before & after that speaks for itself.

From vision to reality 🤍
This kitchen transformation was carefully planned and refined together with our client at every stage.

We removed an internal wall to create an open-plan kitchen flowing seamlessly into the living area — bringing more light, space and a modern feel to the home.
The result? A clean, functional and beautifully finished kitchen designed for everyday living.

We believe great renovations come with clear communication, attention to detail and no unexpected surprises. Our clients know exactly what to expect — and the final result always speaks for itself.
