Great design. Exceptional talent.

We’ve had an exceptional year, with our work recognised through an international design award. Now we’re looking for two amazing people to join our small, friendly team at our Cambridge studio.

We create distinctive homes, with involvement from the first design ideas through to the final installation. If you care about quality, take pride in the details and enjoy seeing your work come together, we’d love to hear from you.

We have two opportunities available:

• Senior Interior Designer with strong creative judgement and excellent CAD skills.
• Procurement & Project Administrator with the experience and organisation to keep orders and deliveries moving.

Both roles are full-time and based in our Cambridge studio, with an immediate start required.

A little look into the making of a space.

From the first site visit and measurements, through materials, detailing and ex*****on, every decision matters.

Good interiors are not simply about how they look. They are about how they come together.

We did it!

We are incredibly proud to be 2026 winners at the design et al International Design & Architecture Awards.

This is such a prestigious international award, with winners recognised alongside some of the very best designers and studios in the world. I am honestly blown away by what we have achieved.

A huge thank you to design et al for recognising our project and putting us forward, and to every single person who took the time to vote for us. Your support has meant more than I can say.

Most importantly, thank you to our wonderful clients who, while living in another country, gave us their complete trust and the creative freedom to design every part of their home. From the floors and ceilings to the joinery, lighting and electrics, there was not a square inch we did not consider.

Knowing how much they love the home we created makes every late night and all the hard work truly worthwhile. That is ultimately what we work so hard to achieve.

We also brought together an exceptional team to turn our designs into reality, and this achievement belongs to every person who played a part.

From all of us at Sara Slade Interior Design, thank you.

Swipe through for a look at a very special evening. I only wish I had prepared a speech!

We chose burr veneer for this table because of the depth and movement within the grain. No two pieces are ever the same, giving each surface its own character.

The shape may catch your eye first, but it is the detail in the timber and the quality of the craftsmanship that make you look again.

EVERY DETAIL. ALREADY CONSIDERED.

We chose this light for more than just how it looks. In this simple hallway, with its strong contrasting colours, the tiers of hand-cut, fluted glass soften the straight lines and add another layer of texture.

Most importantly, when the light is on, the glass catches and reflects it from every angle, casting its own pattern across the hallway.

It makes a statement without overpowering the space. We always consider how each piece works with everything around it, because no detail should ever be chosen in isolation.

There are hundreds of decisions involved in creating a home, and very few of them sit neatly on their own.

Joinery affects lighting and electrics. Flooring affects fitted furniture. The layout determines what will actually work in the room.

That is why our team stays involved from the first design conversation through technical design, ordering, delivery, installation and styling.

Each person brings different expertise, but we all work towards the same clear direction. You are not handed a beautiful design and left to work out how to make it happen. We take it right through to a finished home.
