Happy International Coffee Day ☕️

We’re a little obsessed with Neff’s integrated coffee machines. Built neatly into the kitchen cabinets, they give you barista quality coffee at a touch of a button, with no bulky appliance taking over your worktop.

That’s the magic of a bespoke kitchen. Every detail is planned around how you actually live, from the first cup of coffee of the day routine to Sunday mornings with friends around the island.

A few things we love about designing coffee stations:

☕️a dedicated spot at eye level, so no bending or reaching
☕️ cups, beans and extras stored right beside it
☕️ clean, seamless lines that keeps the whole kitchen feeling calm

Dreaming of a kitchen that works as hard as you do (and looks beautiful doing it)? Pop into our Cambridge showroom or send us a message. We’d love to hear what your perfect morning looks like.

Finalists feeling ✨

This cloakroom is shortlisted for the Designerati Awards, and we think it’s easy to see why.

We paired a dramatic dark stone feature wall with warm Calacatta-veined marble for real contrast. The basin is hand-formed from the same tile as the walls, so the whole piece reads as one continuous, sculptural block rather than a fitted unit. Even the flush plate is tiled in, cut flush into the stone so the wall stays uninterrupted.

Soft bronze fittings from BAGNODESIGN a member of SANIPEX GROUP warm the whole space up, and a drop ceiling adds that hotel-spa glow without a single downlight in sight. Small room, serious statement.

Fingers crossed for awards night 🤞

We were recently asked to contribute an excerpt for a feature on micro Shaker doors. Turns out we had a lot more to say than an excerpt could hold.

So we wrote the full piece ourselves.

Our latest journal post digs into the micro and skinny Shaker door and how it can be styled three completely different ways: country, modern, or transitional. Same door, same clean lines, entirely different results depending on your colour palette, worktop choices, and how visible (or hidden) you want your appliances to be.

If you’re planning a kitchen and can’t decide which direction to take it, this one’s for you.

The basin isn’t bought. It’s sculpted. Watch

Most cloakrooms are an afterthought.

This one is the first thing guests talk about.

The basin isn’t bought — it’s sculpted from the same tile as the walls and floor, so the grain runs uninterrupted from surface to sink. The feature wall is deep Emperador dark, set against it like a storm behind ivory. Soft bronze brassware sits flush to the stone. The antique mirror looks like it disappears into the tiles. The flush plate vanishes entirely.

Lighting does the rest — a ceiling trough that wraps the perimeter, and a strip behind the feature wall that gives the stone an inner glow at night.

No visible fixings. No standard vanity. No compromise.

This is what happens when a brief says: make people stop.

💬 Drop a 🧡 if you’d want this in your home — or save this one for your next project.

Tiles: Marazzi Calacatta Vena Vecchia & Emperador Lux both in 1200x1200

The brief was one sentence: “I never want to see another white kitchen.” 🤍❌

Here’s how we delivered.

We went the complete opposite direction — textured carbon units, a warm wood backsplash that glows under the cabinet lighting, and a worktop big enough for the whole family (plus two very interested supervisors 🐾).

Every detail was chosen to feel warm, not cold — proving dark kitchens don’t have to be moody, they can be inviting too.

Designed, supplied and installed by Henry Rose Interiors, Cambridge.
