Are you planning ahead for SFI?

The SFI window opens in June for farms under 50ha and those that have not claimed before, farms which have previously claimed will need to wait until the next opening in September, making now the perfect time to think about how these options can fit into your rotation.

As this clover in Suffolk shows, SFI actions don’t just deliver agronomic and environmental benefits, they can also look great in the field. From improving soil health to supporting biodiversity, there are plenty of options that work hard and add visual appeal.

If you’re considering your next steps, now’s a good time to map out what could work on your farm.

👉 Drop us a DM or email [email protected] to talk through your SFI plans ahead of the June window.

This season’s oilseed r**e crops are some of the strongest we’ve seen in years!

Strong autumn establishment, good spring growth and plenty of ‘corner-to-corner’ flowering have helped set crops up for success, with kinder conditions, residual nitrogen and more considered cabbage stem flea beetle management all playing a part.

But the key message now? Don’t lose focus. Maintaining high standards through harvest and into next autumn will be critical to preventing CSFB pressure from rebuilding.

Our latest article highlights 10 shared strategies to reduce CSFB risk and improve establishment resilience, bringing together research, trial data and real on-farm experience.
