Sometimes we are asked to create something a little different, so we were thrilled when this beautiful care home asked us to build a bespoke putting green for their residents ⛳️

Another stylish outdoor kitchen installation - this is the Vantage range by Grillo set in this garden in Fleet, creating the perfect outdoor cooking setup.

Here our team have landscaped the area, including raised sleeper beds, pleached trees and planting, screening and pergola, and then installed the Vantage modular kitchen range, including gas bbq station, kitchen cabinets, outdoor drinks fridge cabinet and log store.

This space gives our customers everything they need to cook up a storm! 👨🏻‍🍳 🔥

Summers are undeniably getting warmer, and our gardens are being used more and more as spaces to cook and create, entertain and host.
Here we have created a bespoke kitchen and bar area using a cast and polished concrete work surface, Millboard ‘Golden Oak’ as cladding, and a powder-coated aluminium pergola with louvred roof, allowing cooking smoke and steam to leave the area but also sheltering the chef from the suns rays on a hot and sunny day ☀️integrated storage cupboards give space to neatly store away BBQ utensils and coals, and the seating and bar area keeps the area social (because no one wants to be cooking on their own in the corner!)

Let’s talk garden maintenance, and in particular how we keep your garden thriving in these dry, warm summers.

Our garden maintenance team are working really hard to ensure the gardens we look after are looking their best, and they’re doing a great job. Recently we have been working with customers to put together clever, future-proof planting schemes which focus on plants that will not only tolerate long, dry summers, but will also survive wet winters that seem to be the UK weather’s ongoing trend ☔️

Super hero perennials such as Nepeta, Sedum, hardy geraniums, Erigeron and Verbena have featured in our customers gardens a lot this year and are thriving, along with grasses such as Stipa tenuissima and Miscanthus.

Our gardening team are being careful to not put any unnecessary stress on plants at this time of year, carrying our summer essential tasks like dead heading regularly, and mulching beds to help retain moisture in the root systems. The team have a huge amount of knowledge, ensuring that each garden gets exactly what it needs depending on its aspect, soil type and sun exposure.

Irrigation systems are also being installed for many of our customers, particularly drip-line systems which are controlled using WiFi and are fitted with a pressure valve - ensuring maximum control and efficiency. These are also extremely popular as they’re able to be used under the many hosepipe restrictions that the UK are currently facing.

We are just wrapping things up at our project in Guildford, which is now ready for nature to move back in. We are so in love with this wildflower basin, which has been created to naturally hold the water that runs off the rest of the garden. Stepping stones dotted across the area mean that it’s accessible yet wild 🌾🌼 Millboard decking at the bottom of garden offers a perfect viewpoint back up to the house. Clay paver sweeping paths, a naturalistic and pastille planting scheme, and striking Corten sculptures make for a very stylish yet organic garden we have loved building
