It was great to end the week visiting one of my long-term projects near Wi******er. A project that I've been designing in phases for my clients over the last few years to conicide with the architectural and build works.

As you can see, it's a large garden that has got bigger as additional land has been purchased since I first started designing. Soon, I'll be getting stuck into the design for the immediate surrounds of the house, the new paddock, and the front garden...lots to think about and lots of opportunity for a client that is busy getting stuck in to a large portion of the work themselves. Enjoy a quick spin of a riverside project that I've been designing recently. It's in a lovely spot but a tricky shaped plot to form a garden from.

The new self-build home sits close to the river with larger gardens to the side and front. The rear garden has been designed as the main entertaining area with a hint of a coastal feel. The garden wraps around to the side with a flowing curved path flanked by plant borders before leading into a nature friendly front garden. A small pond and adjacent deck are surrounded by trees for dappled shade, all of which add to the overall relaxed and calm setting.

Very proud that I’ve been involved in the design of this local project helping to provide the council with the vision and masterplanning of The Recreation Ground. This is a fantastic new facility for the young people for Calne and one that the town can be proud of.

This is phase 1 of a larger project which I’m looking forward to continuing helping the council with over the coming months and years.

🎉 It’s ready! The brand‑new Ninja Warrior–themed play area at The Recreation Ground is now complete!

The Town Mayor - Cllr Ian Thorn along with Town Councillors, Grounds staff and contractors witnessed a ribbon cutting at 10am on 23 January.

Packed with obstacle‑course challenges, climbing features and activity zones for different ages, this free play area is designed to get children and young people moving, exploring and having fun.

We can’t wait to see families enjoying this fantastic new addition to Calne!

The official opening is being planned for Easter Sunday - please like and follow to stay in touch.

The work was funded by developer Community Infrastructure Levy funding. Equipment from Proludic ProludicLtd and fitted by SJ Aplin Playgrounds Ltd

A few 📸 from a site visit today catching up with my clients to discuss the next steps of their project.

I designed the landscape scheme to help gain planning permissions for this single storey property back in 2024. A soon to be family home located on an old and dissused car park edging a Wiltshire village.

Plenty of planting soon to be added to enhance the biodiversity of the landscape and sit attractively in the surroundings. This will be a lovely home with some beautiful views over the Wiltshire landscape.

A front garden soon to be revamped in the new year.

A simple design to create more parking space and improve privacy from the front and sides whilst still providing greenery from a new lawn and densley planted borders. The existing feature telephone box sits proudly on view from the living room and takes centre stage on arrival to the property.

Looking forward to working their magic again on the construction of this one.

Finishing the week with a little masterplan of a front garden design scheme in Bath.

Great to be able to design a space that can be utilised for not just parking but for relaxing too. The space now includes a good-sized paved terrace, lawns, plenty of areas for plants, and a garden store with green roof.

A space to be enjoyed from both within the home and out in the garden itself.
