New addition to the Company, as demand has increased for Oil Tank Installations, and quick response to Oil Spills, adverse weather conditions causing property damage and environmental damage. You don’t get to work on one of these every day; it’s a Trianco Euro Star with a date stamp of 1995. Completed a Burner re-build today, including a new oil pump, coil, capacitor, control box and motor. Hopefully good for another 30 years, and if it does then the next plumber that’s currently in school will appreciate all the Anti-Seize Compound and new bolts I replaced after drilling out and re-tapping new ones. 🤘

Oil Tank installation completed this week in Caerhun, Bangor. We were asked to carry out a boiler service on a Worcester Heatslave Combi. On inspection it was apparent that the boiler was only three years old but the oil tank was never updated to a Bunded Double Skin Tank during the boiler installation. The oil tank was too close to the property and next to an opening window. On speaking to the customer about the potential fire risk and damage we decided to upgrade and relocate the tank. Today’s job was allocated to bringing Llys Derwen Caravan & Campsite out of its winter hibernation. The boilers and plumbing systems for the Campsite bathrooms are now ready for the guests to arrive. Nathan and the team at Llys Derwen are definitely ready to welcome this year’s guests at the campsite and hopefully a brilliant year of tourism into Eryri/Snowdonia to explore the awesome mountain range and lakes in the area.

Fabricated Stainless Steel Housing made to protect and conceal; Oil Line components including a SOS Ultra Compact Oil Filter and Fire Valve. We now fit SOS Filters as standard to all Oil Boiler and Oil Tank installations or alterations. Due to the quality of the components it should increase the longevity of the boiler and with less chance of failure or damage.

I love it when a; ‘First Fix’ comes together. Think Quantum’ is what I said to Ellen the Apprentice before starting 🤣. This is going to be a small apartment in Tregarth, Bangor and with the amount of work I’m doing in this area at the moment I wouldn’t mind it for myself. The complex bit was to split the heating and cold feeds up and create a balanced water supply for the two dwellings in a limited amount of space for the pipe feeds, Tigris K5 Multi Layer Pipe and fittings will hopefully make this system fault free for years to come.

New full heating system installed in Tregarth, Bangor. This included a Worcester Heatslave Combi Boiler, Oil Tank, Heating Pipes and Manifold system for the radiator feeds. The cottage is being renovated and hopefully completed soon with a cosy feel to it.

Service call out to an Oil Boiler not working in Criccieth, after doing some fault finding it transpired that the boiler was 12 months old but the oil tank wasn’t replaced or maintained during the boiler installation. The original oil tank was blocked up due to sludge and water. The works were escalated to an emergency Oil Tank installation and a new concrete base. Within a week the boiler was serviced, calibrated and working correctly again to OFTEC standard.

Boiler Service and Breakdown attended today at Tremadog. The Oil Lines and Hose’s to the boiler had been like this for five years. This was urgently updated during the service before any environmental or fire hazard occurred. Even the incorrect Burner Nozzle was replaced, hopefully this will help with the longevity and running costs.
