We recently tackled a challenging but highly rewarding project, replacing three old, leaking, single-hinge roof windows with brand-new, top-tier VELUX roof windows and flashing kits.

This wasn’t just a simple swap! The new VELUX frames are larger and designed to be inset rather than surface-mounted.

To make them fit perfectly, we had to:

• Modify the structure of the roof aperture to accommodate the larger frames.

• Alter the slate roof by cutting and fitting new slates for a completely watertight finish.

• Re-trim the interior opening to leave the client with a flawless, seamless finish inside.

While we were up there, we also gave the rest of the roof some much-needed TLC—sorting out a number of slipped, cracked, and missing slates to ensure the whole house is completely weather-tight for years to come.

We recently wrapped up a fantastic project working alongside the team at Garden Lighting Solutions Ltd!

Together, we completed the full installation and commissioning of a premium, multi-zone garden lighting system.This bespoke setup gives our clients complete control over their outdoor space, creating the perfect atmosphere for both relaxing and entertaining.

Here is what went into this high-spec installation,

4 Independent Zones: Tailored lighting sections that can be controlled together or separately to highlight different features of the garden.

Dual Control Boxes: Two robust, professionally wired control boxes managing the power distribution and zoning seamlessly.

Invisible Integration: The best part? All cables have been completely hidden out of sight, ensuring a flawless, ultra-clean finish with zero unsightly wires disrupting the landscape.

Full Commissioning: Extensively tested and commissioned to guarantee safety, reliability, and perfect performance.

Something completely different from our usual work!

We just finished installing a gorgeous Sedum green roof!

This one took a bit more manual labor than usual, using a clever system of interlocking tiles that clip together to create an instant living ecosystem.

But we aren’t done yet! The space left at the front of this flat roof will be filled with solar panels over the next few months—creating a roof that is green in both color and eco-friendliness.

We always love these odd projects—the ones that come up every now and again, make you think outside the box, and leave a lasting positive impact.

Project Reveal

Here’s a sneak peek at the near-finished results of our biggest project to date — transforming a bare double garage into a fully self-contained living space, complete with a shower room, kitchen and everything you’d expect from a modern unit.

This is what’s been keeping us quiet for the last few weeks!

We’re incredibly proud to have completed the entire project in-house, from the initial design and build right through to fitting the kitchen and shower room, decorating and electrical work.

Just 8 weeks from laying the floor screed to this near-finished result — a huge amount of work, and one we’re particularly proud of.

There are just a few final finishing touches to complete over the coming week, and then it’ll be ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Bathroom upgrade completed!

From a bath with a tiled splashback to a fully fitted shower over bath, complete with UPVC panels, a glass shower screen and a new shower rail.

Easy to maintain, easy to clean and finished with a sleek, modern look — this one really sets the bathroom off!

We've been a little quiet on here since sharing our butcher's shop front project... but that certainly doesn't mean we've been taking it easy!

Behind the scenes, we've been busy beavering away on a very exciting project. We couldn't resist sharing a few sneak peek photos along the way, but there's still so much more to come.

The gold pinstriping has now been added, giving this project the perfect finishing touch.

Alongside that, we've completed:
✔️ A new panel to the meat counter
✔️ A new toilet supplied and fitted
✔️ Repairs to a couple of internal doors

This project has truly been a labour of love. From the smallest repairs to the final details, every part of the refurbishment has been carried out with care and attention to detail—and the transformation has made every bit of effort worthwhile.
