Darren sets off on his adventure on Wednesday. Heading to Panama first where he will sail up to Bermuda - just him and his friend Mark. Both have prepared themselves by doing sailing courses. This is an adventure of a lifetime - thanks to everyone who has donated, we are amazed we have managed to raise over £550 for Turn to Starboard the amazing veteran charity. Every penny will go towards our armed service veterans and supporting those with PTSD from service. Thank you so much for your support ❤️

Darren finishes his 5 day training today with Turn to Starboard down in Falmouth. Hes learnt so much ready for his challenge in May. Without fundraising the charity couldn’t support veterans of our armed services who have given their life to get back to feeling some sense of normality and purpose. It really is an incredible charity that deserves some recognition and we are hoping to give a little bit back for the week Darren has experienced. In May I will be challenging myself to sail from Panama to Bermuda to raise funds for an amazing veterans charity. ‘Turn to starboard’ supports veterans like myself get back to doing something they love, through sailing. The charity is totally reliant on donations, to keep going and they support both veterans and injured army personnel.

I am currently on a weeks training course with them down in Cornwall, to prepare for my challenge, to witness first hand the amazing work they do. I would also like to thank Destinology Holidays for supporting me on this challenge, as without them this trip wouldn’t have been possible.
