WELL… OUR DAY OFF DIDN’T QUITE GO TO PLAN! 😅

What was meant to be a day off yesterday quickly turned into a full day on the tools, helping customers across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire!

🚿 Hildersham – Started the day replacing a bar shower mixer for a new customer.

💧 Bury St Edmunds – Next stop to clear an airlock and get everything working properly again.

🔥 Cambridge – Altered some heating pipework and fitted a water filter for a returning customer.

🔧 Haverhill – Annual boiler service, where we also identified and replaced a damaged flue seal.

🔥 Red Lodge – Another boiler service, along with replacing a leaking condensate elbow.

🏠 Barrow – And just when we thought we were finished for the day… another call came through for no heating or hot water! We traced the fault to a defective fire valve, which wasn't allowing the correct flow of kerosene through to the oil boiler.

A day off might have disappeared, but plenty of customers were left with their plumbing and heating back up and running! 🙌

From general plumbing and heating repairs to gas & oil boiler servicing, breakdowns and maintenance, we cover it all across East Anglia.

🔧 Another busy start to the week at Barrow Plumbing & Heating!

It’s been non-stop so far — so much so that we haven’t managed to take a single photo of any of this week’s jobs! 📸😅

So here’s one from our last job of last week — an annual boiler service for a returning landlord customer in Bury St Edmunds. 🔥

Regular boiler servicing helps keep your heating system running safely and efficiently, while also helping to identify potential issues before they become costly problems.

🏠 Landlord or homeowner?
If your boiler is due its annual service, get in touch with us to get booked in.

Another busy day wrapped up here at Barrow Plumbing & Heating!

We kicked things off by replacing an old pedestal basin with this lovely vanity unit and countertop basin for a fantastic returning customer in Ingham. A great upgrade that really modernises the bathroom! ✨

Next stop was Bury St Edmunds for another annual boiler service for one of our loyal repeat customers. Keeping your boiler serviced every year helps it run efficiently and can reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns. 🔥

We finished the day over in Cambridge, where we installed a Monarch water softener for a new customer to help protect their plumbing from limescale. While we were there, we also upgraded their old room thermostat to a Tado smart thermostat, giving them much better control of their heating from anywhere. 📱🌡️

Whether it's plumbing, boiler servicing, heating upgrades, water softeners or smart heating controls, we're here to help.

🚨 Saturday Call Out! 🚨

A wonderful new customer had us booked in for a boiler service in a couple of weeks, but unfortunately her boiler decided it couldn't wait and broke down this morning.

After a quick message asking if we could help, we popped in and had her heating and hot water back up and running within a few hours.

This is exactly why we keep our vans well stocked with common parts – it means we can often get you back up and running on the very first visit, saving time and avoiding unnecessary delays.

If your boiler has broken down, needs servicing or if you're looking for a reliable local plumber and heating engineer, we'd be happy to help.
