Bespoke storage is all about making the most of the space you haveπŸ› οΈ

From built-in cupboards and shelving to storage designed around the shape and layout of a particular room, we can create practical solutions that are made to fit the space rather than working around an off-the-shelf option.

Every home is different, which is why bespoke storage can be such a useful way to make awkward spaces, alcoves and unused areas work harder while keeping the overall look of the room considered and cohesive.

Whether you're looking to create more storage in a bedroom, make better use of an unused space or add practical storage as part of a wider renovation, we'll work with you to find a solution that suits both the space and how you use it.

Thinking about adding bespoke storage to your home? Get in touch with Archway to discuss your plans, space and how we can make it work for you.

A garden transformation is underway, with new stone retaining walls and steps already starting to take shape.

As part of the landscaping works, the existing sandstone patio will also be replaced, helping to create a fresh and more considered outdoor space.

There's still plenty more to come on this project, but we're already starting to see the garden take shape and look very different from how it started.

Creating a modern bathroom doesn't mean losing the character of a period property.

For this en suite, the homeowners wanted modern facilities while keeping the traditional feel of the building. The result is a combination of contemporary products and details chosen to sit comfortably within the property's existing character.

The Burlington range brings a modern level of functionality, while the traditional-style tiles and dado rail help recreate the period feel the homeowners were looking for. Modern trims have then been incorporated into the design to give everything a clean, considered finish.

It's about finding the right balance between old and new, so the finished space feels like it belongs in the property while still working for modern life.

Working on a listed building often requires a little more consideration than a standard renovation.

This project involves an overhaul of the existing roof, along with decoration to the fascias and soffits and the replacement of the existing gutters and downpipes with genuine cast iron.

When working on listed properties, certain works may require approval from conservation officers and, depending on the project, listed building consent or planning permission.

It's important to understand what's required before work begins, so that the right permissions are in place and the work can be carried out appropriately for the building.

If you're considering work on a period or listed property and you're unsure what permissions may be needed, get in touch with Archway to discuss your plans, space and how we can help.

This renovation involves a number of exterior works designed to improve and restore the property while keeping those traditional features at the heart of the project.

Replacement cornice headstones are being added above the existing windows, while new render is being applied to the existing brickwork. The timber sash windows are also being given a full overhaul and decoration, including fillet flaunching around the windows where they meet the existing brickwork.

Each element needs to work with what is already there, rather than looking like a modern addition.

It's this attention to detail that helps new work sit naturally alongside the original building, preserving its character while giving it the care and attention it needs for the years ahead.

It's often the details that make a room feel truly considered.

In this period lounge, the practical work is now well underway, with the electrics, plumbing and radiators in place. The next stage is about adding the features that will bring the character of the room to life.

Bespoke ornate cornice is being made for the room, alongside plaster roses around the central light point. We've also created an extended window ledge to form the basis of a window seat, which will be finished with handmade wrought iron brackets.

These details may seem small, but they're what help a renovation feel individual to the property rather than simply adding something new.

It's about understanding the character of the building, listening to what the homeowner wants and finding the right details to bring the two together.

A closer look at one of the bespoke details being created as part of this full property renovation. πŸ› οΈ

This front door has been made in our own joinery shop specifically for the property, with the design, finish and glazing all carefully considered to work with the character of the building.

The door itself has taken around two weeks to make and will feature specialist graphite privacy glass, with matching one-way glass also being incorporated into the porch.

It's another element that will help bring the whole front of the property together once everything is installed and finished.

We'll definitely be sharing the finished result once it's in place.

Another project handed back to the client, ready for the final finishing touches. πŸ› οΈ

This single-storey side extension has been designed to give the property a real sense of space, with vaulted ceilings creating an impressive feature and plenty of natural light throughout.

The project has included the construction of the new extension, along with a new porch to the front of the property, underfloor heating, a modern boiler and unvented hot water cylinder, plus upgraded electrics and new fuse boards to serve the extension.

With the main building work now complete, the property has been handed back to the owner ready for them to add their own final touches, including the kitchen, bathroom, flooring, decorating and finishes.

It's always great to reach this stage of a project and see the transformation from where it began to a completely new space, ready for the next chapter.

You don't need a huge amount of space to create a room that works hard for you. πŸ› οΈ

This small area is being transformed into a practical utility room, complete with built-in storage, a Belfast sink and stacked appliances to make the most of every inch.

But it's not just about making the space functional. Details like the traditional copper heated towel rail will help give the room its own character too.

A good renovation is often about finding the right balance between practicality and the details that make a space feel considered.

One of the things we love most about working on period properties is finding ways to respect the history of the building while giving it a new lease of life. 🏠

This property was originally built in the late 1800s/early 1900s, and although the porch was no longer there, an old photograph showed that the property once had one.

The brief was to reinstate it in a way that felt completely in keeping with the original building.

From the reclaimed roof tiles and oak framework to reusing stone found on the property, every detail has been considered to help the new work blend seamlessly with the existing house.

We're really proud of how this is coming together, and we can't wait to share the finished result.
