Another amazing build we have started recently! 🤩 this one is going to be amazing!!

The clients have chosen to use a mixture of real stone walling and larch cladding, then its going to be finished off with aluminium heritage windows and a standing seam roof 😮‍💨

We won’t say where the build is but the views and back drop are phenomenal 😍 as soon as we were approached to undertake the build I knew we had to do it.

The next steps on this one is to strip the existing build back to its bare bones and incorporate it into the new build as we work up to first lift 👌🏻

It’s been a busy, HOT summer so far! 🙌🏻😎🥵

We have been working on numerous projects lately so we haven’t posted much at all but here’s an update on the one barn job we are currently working on.

✅steel portal frame barn dismantled
✅concrete slab and walls crushed on site
✅footings pulled out over 6 pours due to ground make up, depth and access
✅footings poured
✅new steel posts installed to mimic existing barn layout
✅bricked up to dpc ready for services and block and beam floor to be installed

This is a cracking job all round, at the moment we have ‘slight’ issues with planners due to bi-fold door locations and class Q planning but it is being ironed out currently so hopefully a compromise can be made swiftly 🤞🏻and we can start getting this build up to wall-plate asap 🙌🏻

So we have started ANOTHER barn conversion this week in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside 🤩 complete with resident sheep 🐑

This one is a difficult project in MANY ways! 🤔 the large trees close by, a steel portal frame that is wonkier than Quasimodos coat hanger and some awkward planners that are hellbent on keeping as much of the original building as possible! 😬

But with a cracking architect and structural engineer, a client who is motivated but also relaxed in all the right ways and a developer (us!!) who love a good challenge 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 this wonky old barn that housed livestock years ago will be transformed into an amazing home in a highly desirable location 😍

Some great progress on the barn build 👌🏻🤙🏻

✅ all of the steels are now in apart from 2 x cranked steels that need templating above the balcony and gallery landing to create huge windows!!

✅ the first floor joists are in and completely decked out

✅ all studded walls are up both on the ground floor and second floor Inc racking walls 👌🏻

The next steps are to erect a full scaffold wrap, install a new standing seam steel roof, windows and external finishings to get completely watertight once decisions have been made 🙌🏻

A little sneak peak video from the barn job 🤩

The first floor is all in 🙌🏻 🕺🏻 we will do a full walk through video when all knock throughs are done and we have got more time!… but in the meanwhile just get a glimpse of these views from the balcony area 😍
