Keeping cool on site because working in this heat is no joke.

We're all feeling it right now. 30+ degrees, full sun, and a day's work ahead. It's tough, but there are some simple things that actually make a difference in how you feel and perform.

Here's what keeps us going when the temperature climbs:

✓ Drink water constantly, not just when you're thirsty. By the time you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated. Keep a bottle with you and sip regularly.

✓ Take proper breaks in the shade. Seriously, sit down, cool off, let your body recover. You'll work better after 10 minutes in the shade than pushing through.

✓ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothes where you can. It helps your body cool down naturally.

✓ Start early if possible. Morning work is always easier than afternoon work in the heat. Plan your heavy tasks for cooler times.

✓ Look after your mates. If someone's quieter than usual or moving slower, check in. A quick chat and a water break can change everything.

✓ Eat properly. Your body needs fuel to regulate temperature. Skip the heavy meals, but don't skip eating.

The heat is temporary. Staying comfortable and safe while you work? That's the goal.

We are currently focusing on the finer details, ensuring precision cuts around the new charging points, while continuing the paving run over the attenuation tank and preparing sub-bases for the next phase.
