Hanging on by a thread… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Called out to this burger shop in Derby where the guttering was barely hanging on.

A few questionable previous fixes in there too 👀 — screws, makeshift brackets and sections pulling away.

Definitely one that needed sorting before the next spell of heavy rain! 🌧️

Sometimes a broken bracket isn’t the whole problem… 👀

This gutter was holding water due to a broken bracket, but once we got up to inspect it properly, we found the guttering had originally been installed incorrectly.

Rather than trying to patch the problem, it all came down and we started again from scratch — new brackets, correct fall and everything flowing as it should. 👌😁

Brand new gutter installation, ready for the weather 🌧️✅

Team work 🫡😁

Wowser… there are storms and then there are STORMS!

Last night was a proper one & lots Burton got absolutely battered.
We’ve already had a couple of emergency call‑outs this morning, but this job turned into a brilliant joint enterprise.

We met up with Sudell Gutter Cleaning and Repairs, Derbyshire at Burton Caravan Centre, as their site took a heavy hit overnight. There was damage, water pooling, and rain running everywhere it shouldn’t. While Team Harrison cracked on with the clean‑up and repairs, Ian got stuck into the gutter clearing - assessing the whole run, removing debris, and making sure that if tonight brings another downpour, the guttering will actually do its job and the flow to the drains will be unencumbered.

Absolute pleasure working alongside you this morning, Ian. Teamwork makes the soggy dream work.

Storm damage is never planned… but it is something we’ll always show up for.

After all the heavy rain we’ve had recently… 🌧️

This is exactly why keeping on top of gutter maintenance is so important.

The gutter had become heavily blocked with debris, restricting the flow of rainwater. With the additional weight and the volume of water we’ve had recently, sections had started to pull away from the wooden fascia.

Once a gutter starts coming away like this, rainwater can escape where it shouldn’t and potentially cause further damage to the fascia and surrounding areas.

Regular cleaning can prevent a relatively simple maintenance job turning into a much bigger repair. 🔧

A few different issues to sort on this one, including damaged and separated gutter joints.

Several repairs completed along with a new downpipe installed and connected into the drain. ✅

Blocked hopper cleared 🍂

A heavy build-up of moss and debris had completely filled this hopper, restricting the flow into the downpipe.

All cleared out and flowing freely again. ✅

Gutter guards removed & gutters cleared ✅

The gutter guards on this property had become heavily covered with moss and debris, so they were removed and the gutters were fully cleaned out.

While completing the work, 4 gutter repairs were also carried out to get everything back in order. 👌

🧹 Roof clean in Burton-on-Trent

A thorough roof clean completed in Burton-on-Trent, removing a huge build-up of moss, dirt and debris from across the roof and valleys.

The gutters were also full of the same build-up, so these were completely cleared and cleaned out at the same time. 👌

A big difference and everything left clear and ready for the next downpour. 🌧️

A big thank you to Harrison Property & Garden Services LTD for helping us out by removing a large bush that had grown completely around the downpipe.

Once we could get access, we found the downpipe was completely blocked. 😳

Bush removed, blockage cleared and everything flowing freely again — all sorted and ready for the rain! 🌧️👌
