World Architecture Day | 5th October

Today we’re recognising World Architecture Day — celebrating the role thoughtful design plays in shaping the places where we live, work and spend our time.

At Clark Architectural, our focus is on creating considered, functional spaces that respond to the people who use them, their surroundings and the way they need to work both now and in the future.

People. Spaces. Possibilities.

Planning permission is an important milestone — but there's still plenty to do before construction can begin.

Once a project receives approval, we can develop the design in much greater technical detail, producing the drawings and information required for Building Regulations and helping prepare the project for construction.

It's the stage where the design starts moving from an idea on paper towards something that can actually be built.

Construction Appreciation Week | 13th–19th September

This week we're celebrating the people who bring our designs to life.

From contractors and trades to engineers, consultants and suppliers, every project is a collaborative effort. We're incredibly grateful for the skill, dedication and hard work of everyone we have the pleasure of working alongside.

A big thank you from all of us at Clark Architectural.

**The art of sketching by hand **

With so much of architecture now created digitally, there’s still something to be said for putting pen to paper.

Hand drawing allows us to quickly explore ideas, work through layouts and communicate how a design could look and feel — without getting caught up in the finer details too early.

These sketches show plans and elevations developed by hand, combining the technical side of architecture with the creativity behind the design.

A skill that still has its place in modern architectural practice.

Site progress.

A look at how our new-build dwelling within the grounds of an existing coach house is progressing on site.

The low, single-storey form is now really taking shape, with the brickwork, glazing and strong horizontal roofline bringing the original design to life.

Great to see the project moving forward — we’re looking forward to seeing the next stages come together.
