Wishing you guys a very wet and windy good morning. Please be aware with the current weather conditions predicted we will almost certainly fall behind a week or two. There’s absolutely nothing anyone can do about it (unless your god) so please try to remain patient and understanding while we try to get these jobs finished as quickly and as safely as possible. We will just have to ride it out.

Our team have just finished safely removing and disposing of 2.5 tonnes of asbestos containing slate from this beautiful and characterfull cottage overlooking Carmarthen bay in ferryside. All asbestos disposed of at CWM Environmental Ltd and a hazardous waste consignment note supplied ⚠️

Unfortunately due to the previous roofers installing the non breathable felt over the insulation without a 50mm gap for ventilation the timbers across the whole of the property have rotten from condensation.

Luckily our team of expert carpenters were on hand to formulate a plan of action to present to the lovely customers the same day. The extra work was quoted for and accepted straight away .

We’re now installing a new Cambrio velux balcony window to the front of the property to take advantage of the stunning views.

Did you know if you’ve got fibre cement slates on your roof that were installed before the year 2000 they more than likely contain asbestos and have to be removed and disposed of appropriately. Many other roofing company’s don’t bother to protect their customers or their employees by removing it in a safe and controlled manner.

Unbeknownst to the inexperienced roofers they are contaminating the whole site and quite possibly the surrounding property’s as well.

Asbestosis and many other asbestos related diseases continue to kill thousands every year.

The added cost from us for a typical three bed family home roof replacement containing asbestos is around £2,000. This insures the asbestos is removed safely , wrapped in protective plastic and transported to CWM Environmental Ltd where it’s disposed of correctly.

If a roofer doesn’t advise you about the asbestos or offers a hazardous waste consignment note it’s more than likely you’re asbestos will be either dumped at the side of the road or left on some poor farmers field where it then becomes an environmental catastrophe.

It’s a very exciting time at home on the farm this weekend. Not only have we started work on building our own waste processing facility , scaffold yard/salvage yard We’ve also invested in all of our employees supplying updated health & safety , working at heights , ladder training and asbestos awareness course’s.

We’ve just started this huge bungalow project in Newcastle emlyn. After popping out for the initial roof inspection I advised this customer the supporting timbers were no longer fit for purpose. We shifted a few jobs about in order to book this in as an emergency repair. 75% of timber to be replaced before we cover it back over with the existing tiles.

Scaffolding and waste clearance also provided by ourselves.

Recently completed roof replacement in Trimsaran. This beautiful old farmhouse needed extensive carpentry repairs with over 70% of the timbers being replaced or repaired.

We worked alongside the building control inspector on this project making sure all works conformed to building regs.

New ridge beam , new wall plate and 22 new rafters installed before we laid the breathable membrane.

We then covered with fibre cement slates using over facia vents , felt support trays and a dry ridge system.

We then finished the job with brand new white facia and deep flow white guttering.

The team are on the last day of this huge farmhouse roof replacement in trimsaron , Carmarthenshire. We’ve replaced or repaired around 75% of the timbers underneath then installed new felt support trays , over facia vents , new breathable membrane , new fibre cement slates , white continuous verge , two vented slates , dry ridge system and finished off with new white facia and deep flow guttering.
