Oh blimey not posted in a while, but don’t worry we are very much still here for all you lift needs.
Last week the big man (Boss) reached the huge milestone, he was the big 60 and was lucky enough to celebrate in Sunny Florida Keys, doing what he loves most fishing and as you can see he loves a lift too, he can be seen here checking out a lift in Bass Pro in Islamorada, I’m sure you will all join me in wishing him a huge Happy 60th Birthday 🥳🥳

Ok so as some of you may or may not know we are taking on an Ultra Challenge and walking a marathon (that’s right 26 miles) at the end of January for this great cause Cynthia Spencer as some of you know this is where Paul’s Mum lost her battle with Cancer so this charity is very close to our hearts. So as well as sponsorship we have decided to do a Christmas Raffle to Boost the funds, so if anyone would like to donate prizes please get in touch asap, we will be reaching out to individuals too, I know times are tough but places like this none of us know when ourselves or loved ones may need to use them. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Help Donna & Paul Osborne raise money to support Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store or company.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work-life balance.

You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the counsellor, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed.

It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives.

Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

And know that 2022 prices are not 2023 prices.

I copied this from another small business owner that I support!

Please support small business, I know I do!!

And thank you

A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000.

"What?!" said the owner.

"You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

The answer is simple:

Tap with a hammer: $2

Know where to knock and how much to knock: $19,998

The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience...because those are the results of struggles, experiments and even tears.

If I do a job in 30 minutes it's because I spent 20 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.
