With several oil tank installation enquiries coming in recently, including 3 quotes sent out this evening, I thought I’d share a couple of pictures of recent installs. One of which tried to catch me out with some old 5/16th imperial pipework to contend with, which fortunately a flared fitting soon sorted out

Spot the crack 👀

This hairline crack in the secondary heat exchanger assembly was allowing water to leak out of the heat exchanger and on to parts of the boiler that it shouldn’t be touching; causing corrosion. Left untreated, this can cause the boiler to rot through, leading to a dead boiler! Fortunately we spotted this on a routine service and a temporary repair was carried out, with a new assembly to be fitted soon.

Featuring my war wound from managing to drill in to my hand whilst servicing the AGA at this property - not sure how deep, but deep enough to bleed like a water fountain 🩸😬
