Buckingham Half Marathon 2026.

Lovely conditions for it today, with a slight breeze on the return section.

A few unexpected hills for me, so slightly more challenging than my usual flat routes.

Just a great feeling once again to get the heart pumping and my feet hitting the roads.

One final thing.

I dedicate this medal and Half Marathon to Dan Gibbs.

Happy Birthday mate! I hope wherever you are, you are happy and would be laughing your head off at me!

"Why the hell would you wanna run mate, you can drive!"

I just received a thank you letter and card from Mesothelioma UK

Regarding my fundraising effort and TCS London Marathon.

An incredible.

£2,306.

Although the running events have been me alone, the support and donations have been all of you!

Certainly would of never been possible.

Thinking £500 would be my final total, to times this amount by 4 was fantastic.

I will definitely continue to run and keep raising what I can in the future.

I run for all of you.

This internal project was carried out in Buckingham over the last couple of days.

To supply and fit 2 x doors on the existing alcove cupboard.

Unfortunately, the opening was no standard size.

So I decided to use standard doors and manipulate these to suit.

Use 12mm mdf strips to create a shaker style look.

I applied 2 x coats of satinwood paint.

Although, this bedroom is having a full renovation, including carpets. So another trade will apply an additional coats needed.

Pewter style k***s and black ballbearing hinges.

I survived! :) I will write a long and boring update tomorrow when I get home again! Ha ha!But for the moment.......... ...

9.29 Miles today!

Just an easy and relaxing run, felt great today! No real rush, beautiful blue skies and a steady pace!

I am sure this time next Sunday it will be a different story! ;)

Can't do much more anyway, just trust myself and my training!

14.07 Miles.

A lovely and fresh run this morning!

Blue skies, a little breeze in the air.

Had a slight cough and cold recently, so this was my first run in a week.

Felt good really, only a little cough now and again!

I just wanted to say another massive thank you to everyone regarding yesterday's Bake sale and charity day!

I was absolutely knocked off my feet with the love and support from everyone!

Massive thanks to all the local businesses!

I was thinking "I we were to raise £100" it would help top up my fundraising!

But to finish with over £800. Was incredible!
