Another one that speaks for itself… 🤩
This one was definitely a bit of a challenge, but we think the finished result looks great!
There was a lot of preparation needed before we could even start tiling. We removed a badly plasterboarded wall that was massively out of plumb and had been dot-and-dabbed onto lime plaster. Not the best combination and something that could have caused problems further down the line.
As lime plaster needs to breathe, and space was limited, we decided to batten the walls out and get everything properly plumb. This gave us the right background to work from and meant we could wrap the tiles neatly around all the walls.
The tiles themselves added another challenge. They varied slightly in size, weren’t perfectly square and were being laid on the 45°, so getting everything to line up and flow around the room took plenty of planning and patience!
The floor was finished with a wet tray and large-format 1200 × 600 tiles, with the tiles carefully cut to create the falls into the trap.
Everything was primed and fully tanked before tiling, giving the shower area the proper waterproofing and preparation it needed.
A fair bit of work went into this one, but we think it all comes together for a stunning finish. 👌
What do you think? 🤔
