This customer brought her vehicle to us for a few jobs, but one issue in particular caught our attention: her tambour door.

The complaint? Since new, the door had repeatedly jammed and failed to operate correctly when opening and closing.

After investigating, we found that the door had been cut slightly too short in width, causing it to come out of its runners and jam.

Our solution was simple but effective: a custom 3D-printed 5mm spacer fitted to one side of the door. This provided the additional width needed to keep the door securely in its runners.

The result? A straightforward, bespoke fix that now allows the door to open and close smoothly, just as it should.

Sometimes, the simplest solutions make the biggest difference!

Alphard 10 Series | Conversion Complete!

Another Alphard 10 Series conversion finished and ready to go!

For this one, we worked with the customer’s existing setup, retaining and improving the original 12V & 240V electrical system while adding a host of new features:

New leisure battery
Solar controller ready for a portable solar panel
Modern USB Type-C charging points
MV Aero 2kW diesel heater with a custom alloy diesel tank and lockable external filler
Vitrifrigo fridge
Internal & external table rail system with telescopic leg
Our extended bench conversion with custom red cushions, creating a much more comfortable and practical sleeping area
New one-piece carpet throughout
Dedicated dog lead fixing point, utilising the original seatbelt mounting points

A great example of how an existing Alphard conversion can be modernised, upgraded and tailored to the customer’s needs without having to start from scratch.

Alphard 10 Series – Custom 2kW MV Aero Diesel Heating Upgrade

This being a 4WD model made the installation particularly challenging, with the rear differential taking up valuable space underneath the vehicle. Careful planning and fabrication were required to achieve a clean, safe external installation.

2kW MV Aero diesel heater – externally mounted
Custom-fabricated alloy diesel tank
Lockable external fuel filler
Exhaust protected with high-temperature fire sleeve

The exhaust has been fully protected with fire sleeve to help retain heat and improve efficiency, while also providing additional protection to the surrounding components and underbody.
