This all started with a dream. Being present for my children and growing a business I love.

My first 90 days have been about growth, freedom and collaboration. I am so grateful to everyone who’s helped me along the way. 2025 it’s been a year I’ll never forget, here’s to 2026 🥂

When independent vets launch a practice, every square metre counts. We work closely with our clients to create phased fit-out plans. Starting small, but planning big!

Portfolio spotlight: Residential extension in Worcestershire 🏡✨

On a compact plot within a new-build development, this project reimagines the ground floor layout to create a bright, open-plan living and dining space, while adding an extra bedroom upstairs.

We worked closely with the client to shape the brief, develop the concept, and secure planning consent. The design features a striking gable wall and maximises natural light, delivering a practical yet characterful extension that enhances everyday family life.

Retrofit for accessibility 🏡🐤📐

This developed design, completed in October, transforms an existing garage and internal layout into a more accessible home without the need for planning permission.

As a retrofit project, it demonstrates how existing spaces can be sensitively adapted to support changing needs. At Wagtail Architects, we worked closely with the client to interpret accessibility standards in a way that responded directly to their personal needs, ensuring the design promotes independence, comfort, and dignity.

It’s a privilege to help create homes that support wellbeing through inclusive, considered design.

Wagtail’s Week 🐤📐

The last week at Wagtail Architects included a residential survey in Malvern, developing tools to support client briefing, and refining concept designs for an accessible home.

We explored spatial layouts for wheelchair users using block diagrams, and collaborated in real time with clients to shape the design a process that was very used for all parties.

I also met with veterinary professionals to discuss how my expertise can support start-up practices and guide them from initial brief development through to practical completion.

The first version of our website is now live, and I’ve added my professional accreditations (ARB and RIBA).

The week ended with muddy walk through Moseley Bog and a picnic under the 300 year old Oak. Swipe through to see what’s been happening!

The Walled Garden 🐤🌷

This rear extension in Bromsgrove was designed to match the elegance of the original Victorian house—seamlessly connecting the kitchen with a new dining area and opening up onto a beautiful walled garden.

Smart integration with the existing kitchen kept costs down, while large windows and doors flood the space with light and garden views.
