Crane-assisted tree removal in action!

Once we'd cut through the trunk, the crane took over, lifting the section clear and keeping the removal controlled.

Jobs like this take plenty of planning and good coordination between the lads on the ground and the crane operator.

Great to get some footage of the lift in action! 👌

Hedges have a habit of quietly getting out of hand… until one day you look outside and wonder when they got THAT big. 😂

Regular maintenance saves you from having to wrestle them back into shape later on, and keeps the garden looking cared for all year round.

We take care of everything from a quick tidy-up to the hedges you’ve been avoiding for the last two years. 👀

If yours is overdue, you know who to call.

Making tree work look easy is usually a sign there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. 👌🌳

With the crane taking the weight, we can remove sections exactly where we want them and get them straight to the ground crew without any unnecessary drama.

A satisfying one to watch when everything comes together. 👌

Same tree. Much better proportions.

This is the sort of job where taking more off wouldn’t necessarily make it better.

The aim was to bring the crown back in, tidy the shape and leave something that still looks like a tree, not something that’s had a fight with a chainsaw. 😅

A decent reduction should almost look like it’s always been that way.

We reckon this one came out pretty nicely. 👌

Some jobs look big from the ground.

Then you get a photo from up here… 😅🌳

Crane in, team spread across the site, and a serious amount of timber coming down. Days like this take plenty of coordination, but when everyone knows their role, the whole job just flows.

Definitely one of those photos that shows the scale of what we get up to at Reeves.

And yes… the clean-up was just as big. 😂

Somewhere underneath him is a hedge… 😂

When they’re this wide, getting a clean finish means getting right into the job (quite literally)

Another overgrown hedge getting the Reeves treatment.

Did anyone else expect that to happen? 😂🌳💦

We’d barely finished the cut and the tree decided to give us a little surprise…

Trees hold and transport a surprising amount of water through their vascular system, and sometimes a fresh cut gives you a pretty good reminder of just how alive they really are.

Not something you get to see every day.

Anyone seen a tree do this before? 👀

Not every job starts with a finished garden. Sometimes we get involved when it’s still taking shape.

This is the stage where plans start becoming something real, ground prepared, levels taking shape, and the foundations being put in for what comes next.

We’re known for tree work, but the Reeves team gets involved in plenty of larger outdoor projects too.

Always good seeing a site progress from an open space into the finished result.

Didn’t realise quite how much garden was hiding behind this one… 👀🌲

This conifer had well and truly outgrown its spot, taking up a huge amount of space and dominating the garden.

Once it was down, the difference was immediate. More light, more room and suddenly the whole area feels completely different.

Sometimes you don’t appreciate just how big a tree has become until it’s gone.

Now the question is… what would you do with all that extra space? 👇

02/10/2026

Not every tree job calls for a crane… this one definitely did. 😅🌳

There’s something pretty impressive about seeing a tree of this size being worked on, especially when you get the full scale of it from this angle.

Plenty of planning, a good crew on the ground and some serious machinery making the job happen safely.

Safe to say, it wasn’t a quiet day at the office for us. 😂
