A cloakroom finished in microcement. Walls, ceiling, vanity top.

The vanity top runs slightly warmer than the walls. Same material, different
mix. The surfaces stay distinct without breaking the continuity of the finish.

In a space this compact, that tonal balance matters more than most clients
realise. They notice when it's wrong before they notice when it's right.

Product: Forcrete

A restored Cotswolds property finished in microcement.

The same finish was carried across bathrooms, steam rooms, a cloakroom, and bespoke tables to create continuity throughout the space without losing the original character of the building.

Using one material across walls, floors, and furniture changes how each room connects visually without relying on contrast between finishes.

We completed a project in Condicote using .matieres ļæ¼Zinc microcement flooring.

Used continuously across the space to keep the finish clean and consistent without changing materials between areas.

A softer industrial finish with subtle tonal movement that shifts throughout the day depending on the light.

We recently completed AdLucem Soie microcement flooring for this project in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

A softer cloudy finish with light tonal movement across the floor to stop the space feeling too flat or heavily polished.

Carried continuously through the ground floor and around the staircase with no transitions between materials.

The finish changes slightly throughout the day as the light moves across the space.

Running microcement floors across a full bedroom changes the space.

Microcement floors in Cheltenham, taken wall to wall in one continuous finish with no breaks between materials.

Hand floated in Forcrete Micro-Quartz Course to give a light, natural texture. Finished in Little Greene Oak Apple with a matt seal for a soft, low sheen finish underfoot.

Getting this right starts well before the finish goes down. Prep and sequencing need to be considered early.

Microcement floors by MUK in Condicote.

Finished in AdLucem microcement in Zinc, used to bring everything onto one continuous surface across the space.

Carried through each level so the finish runs cleanly without visible breaks.

Achieving this comes down to the prep and how each stage is handled.

This microcement floor in Cheltenham was finished using Forcrete Micro-Quartz Coarse in Little Greene ā€˜Oak Apple’, hand floated with a matt finish to keep it calm and natural.

Just one continuous surface across the space.

Softer in the darker areas, more open where the light comes through.

Save this if you’re considering a seamless floor finish.

Microcement bathroom, carried across every surface.

Walls, ceiling, floor, and vanity finished in Forcrete microcement to create a completely seamless bathroom, without breaks between materials.

Completed in Broadway, this project pairs a continuous microcement finish with matte black hardware, bringing contrast while keeping the overall palette controlled and minimal.

The space reads as one continuous surface, where everything sits together more quietly and intentionally.

Save this for your next project or message us if you’re planning a microcement bathroom.

Getting the finish right in a heritage space comes down to how well it’s understood.

At Hotel George, the goal was to restore without losing what made the building feel like itself.

We installed microcement across bathrooms, steam rooms, cloakroom, and tables, keeping the original character while introducing a more continuous finish.

Finish:

Used across walls, floors, and furniture, it softens the shift between spaces without taking away from the building. Most of the work sat in the preparation, getting everything right before the final layer.

If you’re planning a heritage project, it’s worth thinking about how finishes carry through a space, not just how they look on their own.

What makes a table feel settled within a space, rather than placed?

Microcement, applied as a continuous finish, creates a clean, uninterrupted surface that allows light and shadow to move naturally.

This table feels calm, refined, and sits comfortably within the space, complementing everything around it rather than competing with it.

It’s a subtle shift, but it changes how the whole setting is experienced.

If you’re exploring microcement for furniture or interior surfaces, it’s worth considering how it performs day to day.
