It has been an absolute pleasure restoring this WW2 ships wheel!

SS Louie Sheid, a 6,057 ton Belgian steamer ran aground off the coast of Devon in 1939 following the rescue of another ship which had been torpedoed by a German U boat.

15 years later the wheel was recovered but never properly restored until now.
