This wasn’t just a crack… 👀

A large crack had formed through the render, with part of the render already blown away from the original brickwork.

So we didn’t just fill it and paint over it.

We:

💥 Cut out the blown section
🔩 Installed stainless steel reinforcement rods every 3 courses
🧱 Prepared it properly for the repair

Because making a crack disappear isn’t the same as properly repairing it. 💪🏼

🏠 The new Gurt Builds website is finally live!

I’ve been meaning to get this sorted for a while and it’s finally done.

I’ve put together a site showing a bit more of what I actually do, some of the work I’ve been getting stuck into and a few of the reviews from customers.

I mainly take on:

I’m based around Portishead and take on work across Clevedon, Nailsea, Bristol and the surrounding areas.

5 bags later… 👀

A fairly large Artex ceiling + 3 walls.

First set filmed.

Second set? Absolutely no chance. 😂

I was flat out getting it finished, but I managed to grab a few clips of the final result.

And the clients?

Couldn’t have been happier. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

That’s the bit that matters.

New rubber roof ✔️
New LVT floor ✔️
Ceiling boarded & skimmed ✔️

Apparently none of that can be taught…

“You either got it or you haven’t.” 😂

Why are there holes in the wall? 👀

Friday’s forgotten footage!

Blocking underneath the steel to close everything off and help keep rodents out…

But we still need airflow.

So we’ve installed air bricks to keep the void properly ventilated. 💨

It’s the details you don’t see that matter.

Easy set today.

Charge £3,100 and was done in 30 minutes with half time

The walls haven’t even started yet… 👀

4 days of serious graft.

Steel structure ✅
8x2 joists ✅
Steel legs concreted in ✅
150mm Celotex prep ✅
Cement boards underneath ✅

That final cement board stage was an absolute nightmare 😂

Heavy week.

Productive week. 💪🔥

Now we’re ready for the next stage…
