Madagascar has ratified the Kigali Amendment, becoming the latest country to commit to phasing down Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). This milestone includes a pledge to reduce HFC production and consumption by more than 80% by 2045, supporting global efforts to reduce emissions and advance sustainable cooling.

Haiti has become the 173rd country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, a global agreement to phase down the use of Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).

By ratifying the Kigali Agreement, Haiti is formally committing to reduce the use of these highly potent greenhouse gases used in cooling and refrigeration. Phasing down their use will make a major contribution towards the fight against climate change.
