🌿 SAME FAIR. NEW NAME. AN EXCITING FUTURE. 🌸

The Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair is now the Bristol Specialist Plant & Orchid Fair.

Since its beginning in 2024, the fair has brought together specialist orchids and an extraordinary range of unusual indoor and outdoor plants. That is not changing; it’s expanding.

Our new name gives the fair a clearer identity of its own and better reflects what has always made it special: knowledgeable independent growers, horticulturally interesting plants and the opportunity to discover species and cultivars rarely - if ever - encountered in conventional garden centres.

We remain proudly independent, with the same commitment to creating a friendly, accessible and horticulturally serious event for experienced collectors, new growers and everyone curious about the wider world of plants. It is run by a mother-and-son team, Dino (myself) and Stela. We are not affiliated with nor funded by any other plant fair or show.

The Bristol Specialist Plant & Orchid Fair will return in spring and autumn 2027, with dates to be announced soon.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us since 2024. We are enormously excited about the next chapter.

🌿 BRISTOL, YOU SHOWED UP. 🌿

Our first ever Autumn Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair on 26 September 2026. And what a day it became!

We filled a beautiful historic church with extraordinary plants, specialist growers, collectors, makers and a crowd of people who were just as excited about unusual plants as we are.

There were rare orchids direct from Ecuador, tiny botanical treasures, carnivorous plants, aroids from , Begonia, Jewel Orchids, succulents, terrariums, unusual outdoor plants and much more. The tables were disappearing beneath plants faster than we could photograph them. 🌸

But these photographs capture what mattered most: people discovering plants, talking to growers, comparing finds, meeting other plant obsessives and leaving with something they hadn’t expected to find.

That is exactly why this fair exists.

A huge thank you to every grower, exhibitor, speaker, volunteer and visitor who helped turn our first Autumn Fair into something so special. 💚

We started Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair in 2024 with a fairly simple idea: bring genuinely interesting plants and the people who grow them together in Bristol.

Seeing the room looking like this just two years later is rather wonderful.

And we’re not finished!

🌿 BRISTOL — THANK YOU! 🌿

What a day. 💚

Yesterday our first ever Autumn Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair filled Central Church with extraordinary plants, brilliant specialist growers and a wonderful crowd of plant lovers from Bristol and far beyond, including aroids and miniature Andean orchids direct from Ecuador by . 🇪🇨

From tiny botanical treasures and rare orchids from Ecuador to carnivorous plants, aroids, Begonia, succulents, terrariums and unusual outdoor plants, the sheer variety under one roof was incredible. 🌸 🌵 🌿

But what really made the day was YOU! Seeing the venue buzzing with people discovering plants, meeting growers, comparing finds and leaving with arms full of something new was exactly what this fair was created for.

A huge thank you to every visitor who came through the doors, every exhibitor who travelled to Bristol and brought such exceptional plants, our speakers and demonstrators, our volunteers and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the day happen. It really couldn’t happen without all of you.

We started this fair because we believed Bristol deserved somewhere for specialist growers, collectors and curious plant lovers to come together. Three years in, watching it continue to grow is rather special.

Our first Autumn Fair is complete. And we’re only getting started. 🌿

After months of planning, the Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair returns TOMORROW for our first ever Autumn Fair! 🍂

Expect an extraordinary gathering of specialist growers and botanical makers, with rare orchids, aroids, carnivorous plants, unusual outdoor plants, Begonia, Jewel Orchids, succulents, terrariums and much more all in one pkace.

🇪🇨 We’re especially excited to welcome , bringing miniature and unusual orchids direct from Ecuador, alongside an incredible line-up of orchid specialists from across the UK.

Pictured on the cover is the wonderful , who specialises in Monstera, Alocasia and other foliage plants which she combines with top advice. 🪴 Next is the fantastic Zsuzsa from in Essex, who specialises in orchids and tropicals from around the world. Lastly are Ecuadorquideas getting their rare miniature orchids ready for the fair!

One of Bristol’s best-loved plant shops is back at the Bristol Rare Plants & Orchid Fair this Saturday. And if their incredible stand at our April fair is anything to go by, expect an absolute jungle. 👀🌱
